Thank you very much. I am not surprised that PChan is not on the top 10. Then what about highest scores in both FS, SP, GOE, PCS and TES? (I bet PChan is on top in both GOE and PCS). :)

Well actually...

Thank you very much. I am not surprised that PChan is not on the top 10. Then what about highest scores in both FS, SP, GOE, PCS and TES? (I bet PChan is on top in both GOE and PCS). :)

Li'Kitsu brought up GOE, so I decided to go through the same protocols as listed above ^ and rank those too :p I made sure to double-check the math on these, so I'm sure the numbers are right. This was harder since I had to calculate as opposed to the BV which is simply listed on the protocols.

if it's confusing to read: Skatername GOEgiven originalBV->TEStotal ISUevent.

Highest GOE received in SP:
10. Yuzuru Hanyu 9.27 43.76->53.03 2012 NHK

Thank you very much. I am not surprised much about the GOE for PChan, since I did it a few times. :) now I will wait for the PCS and TES ranking. I am sure PChan wins this round as well.

Interesting to see such "minor" skaters leading the rankings  I'll compile my rankings as soon as possible :)

In term of BV, yes. The skaters in the group below top the ranking. But in term of GOE, all the skaters who medaled at Worlds and Olympic top the ranking. I am sure PChan will win the PCS round, too.

Yes, of course skaters like Yuzu could have higher listed BV. The problem is they don't execute it, only plan for it. They have to manage to pull off the heavy technical content, otherwise it is mostly in vain.

BV only indicates intentions on paper which does not equal executions on ice in most cases. Planned elements have to be executed before any GOE can even be expected. Downgrades happen on the ice - underrotation, wrong edge, popping and complete miss on jumps, messed up spins, stumbles on Step Sequence, etc all devalue the BV. Values of executed elements plus GOE make up TES. TES plus PCS make up the Total Scores.

Generally, skaters who plan on multiple quads have the highest BV and Quads are high risk elements. Only consistent quad jumpers can count on their high BV being translated into high TES.

Yes, that's why we see the big daddies of GOE are all the medalists. :)

GOE points are probably a better indication of the eventual TES because GOE values are proportionate to the elements' BV. Thus high total GOE indicates successful executions of high value elements.

Still, high BV without high PCS will not win competitions. High PCS is also more dependable than high BV because the latter involves high risks.

I am sure PChan is the big daddy of PCS. No contest at all. :) in term of TES maybe Hanyu.

I need to correct myself if the BV listed above are as per protocol as I think they are. Then they are the earned BV rather than planned BV.

Hanyu has the highest TES ever, and Chan have the highest PCS ever

If anyone deserved to hold the highest PCS title, its PChan  I hope Hanyu gains a bit of consistency this season so he can beat his current record and go for that elusive 300 :yay:

If Hanyu had landed the 4S with +1 GOE at the 2013 GPF, he would have just narrowly beaten Chan for first place in FS GOE (13.51+4=17.51). Tough ask, though  He'll probably get that number one sooner or later anyway.

Pleasantly surprised to see Oda in 4th! He's such an early season skater, but his performance at the GPF wasn't terrible (it would have been enough to earn him bronze at Sochi  but let's not mention that nationals). His technical skills are so magnificent.

Oh my Javi! this is a big surprise!
Thank you very much! Yuzuru's short program is indeed crazy! Just image his stamina problem is solved and he can perform his long like he did with his short... the score will be crazy for him in the long.
