Idle - Much of Sasha's music was indeed written by Tschaikowsky. The music, much of it, a variation on his haunting theme of the Lake, takes place when the Prince realizes that Odile has deceived him. The music is well written and orchestrated to show the Prince's errant ways and the ensuing devastation that takes place on the stage. Very effective Tschaikowsky (and Sasha, too).
AP's renditiion is that of Odette which you are probably more familiar with. (AP, imo, needs more work on it).
The music, to me, lends itself more to contrast than to compare.
