Kostner still telegraphs her jumps, where are the transitions? She is so overmarked. Should be 3rd or 4th.
Transitions are the most quantifiable of the PCS marks so I wish they would actually reflect program content.

Why do people keep on saying Caro has no transitions?
:scowl: That is exactly what I find boring. I would like to hear what people think about skaters at this competition. I don't remember, or have seen all of them, but there were newbies like Weinzierl, Lanaelle G-G and the Danish girl Anita who did quite well. Are they something for the future? When I started reading this thread I thought there would be pages of praise for Adelina, but as CaroLiza_fan says, a lot of negative posts about her or predicting her bombing tomorrow

I wonder if Russia is thinking they should have sent Leonova - after all Liza and Adelina are still young, one ripe veteran (ok sarcasm) might not have been bad. Who would think the world silver medallist couldn't make it out of her country. Hopefully Leonova does a Maria Butyrskaya or Irina Slutskaya and prove Russia wrong - though next year she has Lipnskaya to compete with too.

Well, not that I am an Osmond super fan, but she has amazing transitions. The required triple jump in the short program has to come out of steps. Kostner does the bare minimum and should be scored accordingly.

transitions in and out of the loop.

transition after exiting the jump, including a short spiral.

transition in and out of the 2A.
Are you kidding? She had more transitions than all of the girls at this event. Her TR should be at least two points higher than Adelina.
Here's Adelina's 3T-3T

same entrance, no exit transition.
Here's Adelina's solo 3F

Caro did her solo 3lo immediately after 3 turn. Had interesting exits. Adelina's exit transition isn't as smooth.

a little spiral, follow by a long set up for the 2A. exit has no transition.

Look at her long program from Italian nationals. She does nothing for 5 seconds into the lutz. Her flip sometimes has a very long set-up as well.
Well, this is an SP thread.
Okay I see the biases (lol) for certain skaters and disdain for others. Sad though Leonova never got to say goodbye.
It has been way brazen to score osmond 70+. It is ignorant to say she can get the score in the worlds. Has she ever scored 65+ in any international events? kostner, even sotnikova are far more refined skaters than osmond.
I can not stand the stupid canadians.
