Catching up with the women
Fedyanina was on fire! Her jumps are so huge. This girl scored around 135 last year, what a great skate!!
Morozova was disappointing. She can better, and she needs to be much better than this for any chance at Nationals.
Samodelkina - what a skate!! Seems the 3A is not there yet, but the rest was amazing. But what a risky program leaving all those super hard combos till the end. That gamble can easily backfire and you lose 20-30 points...
(Is she BFF with Sasha now when they have the same coach?)
Zakharova - a bit disappointing, but she's fun to watch. Should set up herself good for advancement to Nationals.
Yametova - omg, the energy and speed this little girl has is amazing. Surely she must have the hearts of all the Russian people by now, she sure has mine. Won't probably be enough for a medal, but great stuff!!
Trusova - she seemed so out of form yesterday that I didn't expect any quads today. But she landed the 4Lz nicely in warm-up, but then in true Sasha style fell on it when it mattered. After speedy Yametova, it almost looked like she was walking on the ice. Surely this should be behind Veronika?? Hmmm...it isn't. Sasha did a Starr Andrews.
Petrosian - she was really going for it. I guess Team Tut don't expect less. After that shaky start this could have backfired, but it didn't. Adeliia seems to be superstrong this year. For now, I can easily see her podium at Nationals.
OK, off to see the Men.
