Oh, I wish that the two partnerships from the Caucasus had filled in ISU Bios.

I knew Shakira's song at the start of Adrienne CARHART / Oleksandr KOLOSOVSKYI (AZE)'s programme. But, I didn't know the rest of the music.

And I recognised the voice singing the first song of Viktoriia AZROIAN / Artur GRUZDEV (ARM)'s programme. But I can't place who it is. And it is really annoying me!!!

I love Kana and Daisuke, and have done for years. And they skated amazing today.

They'll lead by quite a few miles.

Can't say I am a fan of Jen & Ben's music either (or the costumes, for that matter). But, they skated well.

I would slot them into 2nd.

Yep, I was right. Although, their score is closer to 3rd than I thought it would be.

And that's a wrap for today. I might go back and watch the Juniors at the start of the stream now, since I didn't realise that there were competitions before the Seniors.

Kana & Dai were so sharp today and nerveless, they thoroughly deserved 1st place. Lucy & Ilias skated very well too in their first season together for Hungary.

What a fabulous event to truly honour the memory of Dennis Ten. A wonderful Arena, a super Announcer, who took care with everybody's names, and the music played through the stereo so we could really hear it properly. The downside was we missed most of the cheers and audience applause as the mics were s5witching over. But excellent coverage overall. Thank you Almaty!

ETA: OMG! Lucy & Ilias got a 1.00 deduction for Costume Failure/Violation. Considering she's worn that outfit in one other international comp and a domestic test event, and no other Panel has said anything....very strange.

ETA: OMG! Lucy & Ilias got a 1.00 deduction for Costume Failure/Violation. Considering she's worn that outfit in one other international comp and a domestic test event, and no other Panel has said anything....very strange.

I think one of them had something falling from the costume on the ice. It is costume failure (applied by the referee) rather than costume violation (which should have the majority of the panel in favour).
