The 2022 Mezzaluna Cup will take place Oct 27-30, 2022, in Mentana, Italy, at the Palaghiaccio Mezzaluna. This international event will feature the Ice Dance discipline in the Novice, Junior, and and Senior categories and will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the 2022 Special Regulations and Technical Rules for Single, Pairs Skating, and Ice Dance, as well as all relevant ISU Communications.
There is no live stream planned for this event.

According to the preliminary schedule uploaded on the Italian Federation website, the number of entries are

11 Senior Dance
12 Junior Dance
11 Advance Novices Dance
5 Intermediate Novices Dance
2 Basic Novices Dance


They still have this weird Sunday morning scheduling. 8 am for Junior Free Dance and 10.30 for Senior FD
Then they can all go sitesighting in Rome

We stay with the Pattern Dances, but move from the Basic Novices to the Intermediate Novices. (I hate it when they have both PD segments for the same level back-to-back. For goodness sake, give the kids a bigger break between their programmes!)

We finish the Pattern Dances with the Advanced Novices. A group of 5 partnerships, followed by a group of 6 partnerships. But, because there are a lot more partnerships at this level than the earlier levels, I will be doing separate posts for the two segments.

Tali/Frasca won the Junior RD followed by Simova/Aksenov. Close between the two teams: 1.5 point difference. Both in low 60s
Karl/Hoferichter are third with 53 points.
