hello everyone! here's a Nov. 12 beautiful weather report from Michigan's "gold" coast. (the gold is actually fruit orchards

It's a beautiful snowy sunshiny day here in Ludington, about 3/4 of the way up Lake Michigan, plus a U-bend, from Chicago.

The grass is green, the leaves have dropped or are still bright red; the sunshine is golden. Ten minutes ago, out my west window (towards the Lake), the snowfall was thick and the snowflakes were medium-giant. Where I grew up in Oklahoma, folks woulda been making plans to take a snow day, if tomorrow weren't Sunday. Here -- we don't even call this a 'dusting' of snow. A dusting doesn't melt as soon as it hits the ground ... but this did.

Looking forward to the Pairs FS! I hope Metelkina/Parkman are as entertaining as yesterday, McBeath/Bartholomay show their joy and lovely, understated connection to the Blower's Daughter, the Germans are as pleasing overall as shades of blue SP, Conti/Macii skate a FS with as much musical intelligence and attention to artistry.

My favorite program yesterday was Sara and Niccolo. I am still open to feeling an emotion and/or seeing a connection between Alexa and Brandon to go with their great elements. But a little part of me wonders, why would they bother, when they get all the love from judges?
