The 2024 Egna Dance Trophy will take place Feb 9-11, 2024, in Egna, Italy. The event will feature the Ice Dance discipline in the Novice, Junior and Senior categories, and will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the Technical Rules for Ice Dance 2023/24 (ISU Communication 2560) and relevant ISU Communications.

Nauryzova/Datiev (KAZ) and Pucherova/Lysak (SVK) have been added in Seniors. Gallix/Egyed-Zsigimond and Sznajder/Booth (both FRA) and Roberts/Alis (ESP) have been removed in Juniors, Zakova/Mencl (SVK) have been added.

In Advanced Novices Bianchi/Rota (ITA) have been added. Volodina/Thomas (FRA) have been removed from both the Advanced Novices and Intermediate Novices entry lists.

Does anybody know if there will be a stream?

Obviously, I had really been hoping to watch because of Angelina and Ilia making their comeback. However, I see they are no longer on the entry list. But it would still be nice to watch.

By the way, when trying to find out if there was a stream, I discovered that there is a National part of the event being held tomorrow. It's mostly Solo Dance, but there is one competition for partnerships.

Thank you for the information.

So, all of this week's events are on paid streams. Oh well. But, I'll still keep a track of what is happening at them via the results pages.

On the plus side, it'll give me a chance to catch up on 4 Continents. I haven't had a chance to watch any of it yet because we were getting new internal doors put in over the past few days.

I don't like them! Too many grooves for dust and dirt to gather in. I prefer flat doors. But, no-where is selling flat doors in dark wood. You can only get flat doors in light coloured wood nowadays.

Right, it's all partnerships from now on. And Day 2 is all about the Pattern Dances. 6 Basic Novice partnerships; followed by 8 Intermediate Novice partnerships; followed by 12 Advanced Novice partnerships. We start with a group of 6 Basic Novice partnerships.

Unfortunately, the Egna Dance Trophy is using the format that I don't like, where each level does both sets of Pattern Dances back-to-back. So, it is probably easier to do combined posts for each level.

Mmmm. I wonder if the boys in the partnerships that finished 3rd and 4th in each of the Intermediate Novice Pattern Dances (but each time a different way around) are brothers.

EDIT: I just found the results from a domestic event in France held two weeks ago, and the two partnerships belong to the same club. So, the boys probably are related.​
