After that resurfacing, we complete our double-bill of B competitions with the Cubs B girls. It was supposed to be 21 girls, arranged into three groups of 7. But the final skater has withdrawn. So, we now have 6 girls in Group 3, and 21 altogether.

Livestream for the Cubs B Ladies FS is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream:

The Latvian girl that was the final skater in Group 1, Skater #7, was dressed as Pippi Longstocking!!! 😲

I have to be honest, I have never watched any of the films or TV series, so I don't know if the music she was skating to was from any of them. But, I would assume that it was.

She goes into 5th position, and is the second of the skaters that had a fall.

And the Estonian skater that opened Group 2, Skater #8, was skating to "Happy Together". It wasn't the Turtles singing. It was a female singer. But, although it had a different feel to the original, I liked it.

That is another song I wish would be skated to more often.

She has two team-mates sitting with her on the sofa. And they look very happy together!

I have no idea what that cuddly toy she has been given is supposed to be. (I kinda wish somebody had given her a turtle, for obvious reasons). But, it is so big that, with the way she is holding it, it covers her whole body!

She goes into 4th position.

I liked the song that the next girl skated to too. But I have no idea what it was, or even what language it was in.

Skater #9 is clearly a team-mate of the previous skater, Skater #8. The two of them were sitting on the sofa together with their cudly toys, and the other two girls were standing behind them.

Skater #9 goes into the lead by 0.17 points over Skater #1.

And that means that the current Top 5 are all from the same club, Iluuisutamisklubi Cascade! :jaw:

What a pleasant piece of music that was that the final skater in Group 2 (and the final Latvian skater of this competition), Skater #14, was skating to!

No idea what it was, but I really enjoyed it. It sounded like something that would be played at a party in Tudor times.

Jekaterina Platonova sitting with her.

She goes into 7th position, breaking up what had been an all-Estonian Top 9.

But, given that the 7 skaters in the final group are all Estonian, she is guaranteed to be the top non-Estonian.

I knew I recognised that voice!!!

I thought the song that Skater #18 was skating to was lovely, but I didn't know what it was. So I looked up some of it's lyrics. And it was "La Seine" by Vanessa Paradis.

Unfortunately, she had a fall.

That was funny. There are so many little girls in the results area, that Nekrassova had difficulty getting to the sofa!

She goes into 18th and last position.

And she had the same problem again for the final skater.

Unfortunately, this girl got three deductions, totalling 1.50 points. And she went into 18th position.

Which means that the three Anna Levandi club skaters occupied the bottom 3 positions.

Meanwhile, the Cascade club occupied the Top 2 positions and, indeed, five of the Top 7 positions. Skater #9 won from Skater #1.

And now that Group 1 is complete, I am leaving for my Sunday Dinner at the end of this Warm-Up.

Because there are still a lot of competitions (and reminder posts) to go, but only one more resurfacing after I come back, I think I will re-join LIVE for the Springs B girls. And then try to fit in the remaining Intermediate Novice girls during that final resurfacing, and after the skating ends.

All the best to the remaining skaters!

That resurfacing takes us to the start a triple-bill of B competitions. And the first of them, for the Springs B skaters, is rather complicated. It started off straightforward enough - 16 girls, arranged into two groups of 8. However, Skaters #3, #7 and #8 have withdrawn from Group 1, and Skaters #9 and #11 have withdrawn from Group 2. So we now have 11 skaters, arranged into a group of 5; followed by a group of 6.

Livestream for the Springs B Ladies FS is now on air.

As soon as the music for the third skater (who is actually Skater #4) started, I thought "you were at the Lõunakeskus Trophy last week".

And, sure enough, she was!

I remembered the song. It was a beautiful French version of Ed Sheeran's "Perfect", sung by a female singer. And I would love to find out who the singer is.

She goes into the lead with a score that was 1.93 points higher than last week.

The fifth and final skater in Group 1, Skater #6, was really going all out trying to tempt fate! An ABBA medley consisting of "Dancing Queen" and "The Winner Takes It All".

And it worked! She had two hard falls, and some other mistakes.

Nevertheless, she still managed to go into 2nd position, just ahead of her Gliss club team-mate Skater #4.

The first skater in Group 2, Skater #10, was last of the Gliss club skaters.

When getting her results, she had Skater #4 and the wee girl that was accompanying all of them sitting with her. And Skater #4 was having a great time there!

Skater #10 went into 5th and penultimate position, ahead of another of her Gliss club team-mates, Skater #2.

The final skater, Skater #16, was skating to a song that I didn't know, but it sounded very like Alexander Rybak to me.

She was the only skater from Anna Levandi's club in this competition. But, despite that, she had Nekrassova, 5 other skaters and a dog accompanying her! Although, two of the skaters left before the results were announced.

She goes into 7th position.

With there being so many withdrawals to that competition, I noticed something that I hadn't before. All the skaters that withdrew are listed in the results table in alphabetical order.

I'd have thought they would be listed according to start order.

You learn something new about this sport every day!

Believe it or not, that was the final resurfacing of the event. We now continue our triple-bill of B competitions by moving from the Springs B skaters to what was supposed to be a group of 9 Novice B girls. However, the penultimate skater, #8 Julia BRIANTSEVA (EST), has withdrawn. So it is now a group of 8 Novice B girls.

EDIT: The livescoring page is now showing that the only skater in this competition that is not Estonian, #2 Laura BRIKENA (LAT), has also withdrawn. So it is now a group of 7 Novice B girls.

Livestream for the Novice B Ladies FS is now on air.

Skater #2, Laureen KALVET (FSC Oiler), was skating to "Windmills Of Your Mind"!!! :cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

Unfortunately, it wasn't the version that I know. It was a female singer, and it had a more upbeat, jovial feel to it than I am used to. Which doesn't tie in with the lyrics. Nevertheless, in a strange way, it worked.

Laureen doesn't look terribly thrilled with how she got on.

She goes into 2nd position, 10.50 points behind the first skater, Alina DAVÕDOVSKI (EST)

Skater #3, Sonja TIMOFEJEVA (Pääsuke), was skating to "Wicked Game". And I think it was the original, rather than one of the covers we are used to being skated to.

She didn't have a good skate. At all.

After her last fall, she was that frustrated that she didn't want to get up. But, she did eventually.

By this stage, she had all but given up.

She's crying. Although we see it a lot with the younger skaters, it's not often you see that happening with an older skater. And it is still upsetting to see.

As I'm sure she was expecting, she goes into 3rd.

And the two skaters I didn't comment about are the Top 2! Isn't that just typical of me!

The final skater, #4 Eleonora LAIDVEE (Arabesk), won by 6.22 points over the first skater, #1 Alina DAVÕDOVSKI (Anna Levandi). The podium was completed by #2 Laureen KALVET (FSC Oiler), who was a further 10.50 points behind.

I like the way all the skaters were from different clubs.

And I meant to comment about this earlier in the event, but I like the name of the winner's club, "Arabesk". I realise the name is referring to the ballet move, but one of the club's other skaters was skating to Middle Eastern music yesterday. And I thought that was so appropiate.
