Yes. Austria skiing certainly up there.Yes, it's actually quite scary how big the gap is. And to think that Austria was once a power house in figure skating in the 1930s and 1940s with multiple Olympic medalists. But nowadays it's all about skiing and football (soccer).

I remember starting even in kindergarten we had at least one week of organized skiing training, more often two weeks, for all the kids in the school every winter. There was special support for kids whose parents couldn't afford the skiing gear so no talent or future star got overlooked.
