I agree that Yu Na and Mao are on another level, but Butyrskaya was competing over 10 years ago. The sport evolved in 10 years.
Butyrskaya beat Kwan with a clean program, a 3toe-half loop-3sal combo, all 5 types of triple jumps (without edge problems), a beautiful camel spin and elegance. Obviously today she could not beat Mao and Yu Na with that type of program, but neither could Kwan.

The question is another. Are girls of 26 years physically able to do the demanding COP programs? Maybe nowadays it is easier for younger girls?
Will Caro be able to skate clean in her mid-twenties, considering the demanding COP programs?
