In a TV commercial that aired during the Beijing Olympics broadcasts on CBC, Canadian champion Patrick Chan lightheartedly offered up his thoughts on spandex, which is apparently the bane of male figure skaters.

This commercial was brought up on another message board a few months ago. Many of the posters there were pretty hard on Patrick. They thought he said he wanted to play hockey to make himself sound more macho.

that really cracked me up.. Daisuke will be Daisuke. I wonder if means it like "Manny being Manny?"

I think the guy is pretty cool, and he will rise to the occasion in the absence of Buttle. I see him as top 10 if not on the podium.
