Ready for a whopper?

This one is enlarged 4x, but in order to fit it into ImageVenue I had to put the file through heavy compression. This means that this file has many visible artifacts that don't show up in the original image (which is 10 times the file size, BTW). Still, it's amazing. File size 5200x7800.

(The built-in viewer is kind of funky here, so you may have to download the image to your computer to see it properly.)

Now, I have a SUPERsized 6x interpolated file as well. The file dimensions of this image are a whopping 7800x11,700! That's 91.2MP, folks. The quality is better than you might think, too. If you can put up with a little blurriness, you're all good.

Where do I find Paper large enough to print these?

That's right, they're large enough to hang outside in your backyard. :yes: :cool:

More pics on the way as well.

Save it to disc and take it to Kinko's. :biggrin:

I would really recommend the higher quality TIFF files if you're serious about printing these out. Of course, when the files are originally compressed this doesn't matter. But these are pictures to be looked at from afar, not scrutinized.

Here are the images reposted from the original series (the one I had to delete).

NOTE that these images were compressed at DIFFERENT rates, so they are not comparable either to each other or the original images I put up.

Original (1300x1950)
[img=http://img13.imagevenue.com/loc24/th_3a4_newgroup05hightif.jpg]

2x interpolated image (2600x3900)
[img=http://img13.imagevenue.com/loc24/th_485_newgroup05hightif_2X.jpg]

3x interpolated image (3900x5850)
[img=http://img120.imagevenue.com/loc24/th_95b_newgroup05hightif_3X.jpg]

4x interpolated image (5200x7800)
[img=http://img18.imagevenue.com/loc24/th_57c_newgroup05hightif_4X.jpg]

It's a shame I had to compress them, so you really don't get to see the true power that this interpolation program has. Oh well...

2x interpolation (original JPEG image, no compression) - 2600x3900

4x interpolation (compressed image so isn't comparable) - 5200x7800

Thanks RD! Those are great. Does anyone know why Sasha's flowers are different from Michelle's and Sarah's?

Wow!! Red Dog what great pics. I especially like the one with Sasha and Johnny. RD, can you give us a lesson in the difference between:

TIF, JPEG and BITMAP files

Thanks,

Dee

I'll be willing to do that later on in the week. But now, I've got work to do, so I don't have time right now. But I'll promise to answer your question.
