Attitude. Sarah's layback is my favorite.

Michelle's dropped leg layback looks best for her.
I agree with this. Michelle does not have the same natural flexibility in her back that a skater like Sasha does. Michelle has said herself that she had to work and work and work on flexibility exercises in order to get a good spiral position like Nicole Bobek. Her compromise is the dropped leg position, which allows her to get more arch in her back and also improve her speed.

Attitude when done well, but if you can't, then I suggest you stick with the straight leg, because I think that is also nice, but not quite as good or difficult as the classic position.;)

Watching Michelle early years programs around 1994 she had not bad attitude leg position, but I don't know why she did not keep that and later on lost that position completely. Similar to her jumping ability, around that time Michelle's height was as same as now and the body shape was not girlish, but she had amazing jumping height and speed. Her 2 axle was huge and coverd lot more ice than now, and her lutz was true lutz. I assume that after the major events such as national and world, she took some time off and training afterwards were not that strict. So by next year's key events, it's hard to get back where she was before.
