OMG! I can't believe I forgot this one! Best FS ever! I wonder if Yaro will keep it for next year? I hope so, it needs to be seen internationally.

I really have to single out Mishina/Galliamov's programs because they really brought me much needed energy and joy this season.

Their Esmeralda SP is fantastic from the start, but I admit I was not into their Queen FS at first with the super clunky song transition (a gong??!?! during the spins?!??!?!?!) and the instrumental piano version of We Are The Champions. Then I found out they added the vocals in and had a great performance at Channel One Trophy and I was like, yes, this is the one. It's still not the most sophisticated of programs but everything felt right and fitting for them.

Top 3:

1. Jason Brown's "Sinnerman" SP. An absolute masterpiece.
2. Piper and Paul's "Both Sides Now" FD. So moving...brought tears to my eyes.
3. Yuzu's "Let Me Entertain You" SP. This program brought out a side of him we don't often see. A much needed break from the lyrical SP's he's done recently. Had there been an audience at World's, it would have brought the house down.

This is my favourite performance of the season. I really enjoyed the skating but the audience support, the reaction of his teammates, the tears. It was brilliant. Mark Kondratuik in Channel1 Cup.

Kinda surprised they are all Russian men. Not quite a performance, but seeing T/M regain the Russian Pairs title and there obvious delight was a great moment. Sadly it didn’t quite work out for them in Stockholm.

I feel really lucky that so many competitions took place in Russia. So much outstanding talent. On the flip it wasn’t as easy to see Japanese a d US performances.

From the World Champs I would the performances of Hendricks, Mikuthina & Van Zyndert up there. Hopefully we can have a proper, corona free, competition schedule next season.
