I’m wondering does ISU give an official statement regarding how they determine whether the take-off edge is wrong or unclear? Is it based on the blade completely or based on the ice mark?
I used to judge the edge based on the slope of blade. Sometimes I would combine blade with ice mark but blade would be always prioritized as I think ice mark is more easier to be influenced by camera angle and resolution. However, someone told me ISU judged it mainly based on ice mark? I didn’t find any official information about this. Does anyone know what is the exact method the ISU technical panel used for it?
