Yikes, the first three skaters had some SERIOUS issues. Leonov was better than the other three, but still....I've never seen FIVE deductions on a program.

Well it started as a splatfest, and Leonov didn't do too well either, all told.:eek:hwell:

The warm-up break for the next group is a good thing. Gives us time to recover. ;)

Hi. Just to verify the first jump in Kirsten's program. It was, in fact, a 3-toe with double 3-turn turn-outs.

And if Nancy could stop calling her Kristen, that'd be great. :p

Otherwise, YAY, Kirsten!! I'm so happy for her. I've watched her grow up on the ice since her first learn to skate lesson 'til now, and I'm thrilled she put out such a lovely showing at Nationals. I know she was really disappointed with her short program last year. Now I just *really* hope she stays in a nice, high placement!

Thanks for the pbp flyingnun! Even with the jump problems, I think Ellie Kawamura is LOVELY. Great stretch and a natural performer.
