I was really surprised by Miki's PCS. Although I do feel for her that she had an unfortunate performance in her home country, I still think it overmarked. She significantly lacked the speed, had major disruptions in the flow due to the falls, and was not into the performance at all while doing the choreos. I also did not see much improvement in her arm movements or posture from the last season even though I heard that she was working on it. Although I feel sorry that she was not able to do well, I think that Sarah Meyer deserved so much better PCS than Miki in this event. If it were not Miki's who is the defending World Champ, I don't think that judges would have given this relatively good PCS to this performance.

Shocking but not unpredictable. She looked really shaky at Skate America. Incredibly scared and very cautious - sort of the look skaters have when they that their skills are deserting them.

Miki was not at her best in Skate America but I believe she was skating with a bad back. Maybe that back is still nagging her. Her posture has deteriorated from my view point. If the back is still bad, it needs attention.
