In Dance, I was happy enough with the PB order on the most part.

Didn't care that I&Z's PB was from Mordovian Ornament as well? Or do they have other PB scores that are higher than B&S and S&K? (Obviously not this season). Just, out of curiosity, since you went through your thought process about the rest.

Didn't care that I&Z's PB was from Mordovian Ornament as well? Or do they have other PB scores that are higher than B&S and S&K? (Obviously not this season). Just, out of curiosity, since you went through your thought process about the rest.

I could make up some story that it was because their next best score (171.41 from last year's Nationals) is higher than the PB for Sinitsina / Katsalapov (167.40 from this year's Cup of Russia)

But the simple reason is that I don't like Katsalapov, and so want Ilinykh / Zhiganshin to beat him! (Although, I do like Sinitsina...)

With Bobrova and Soloviev, their SB (169.33 from the NHK Trophy) is higher than the SB's for both of the other couples. And I probably should have put them first (and normally would).

But, after the disappointing start to the season they have had, Elena and Ruslan have a point to prove. And I just want so much to see them do it.

And as for why I didn't go through my thinking process, well by the time I reached Dance, I was getting tired  and wanted to go to bed! :bed:

THIS IS YOUR THREE HOUR WARNING.

You have just 3 hours left until the target time to get your predictions in, i.e. until 13.00 MSK (10:00 GMT)

But, as usual in my Games, this is just a target time so that you are not rushing about at the last minute. Predictions for each category will still be accepted up until the start of that category’s Short Programme.

By the way, I have updated the Original Post to include the SP Starting Orders, as well as the names of the Skaters in Cyrillic characters.

3 hour warning? I thought the Men's SP starts in less than an hour?

Hang on a sec till I check the schedule. I was copying from the OP, so given that I got the date wrong, I might have got the time wrong as well!

Technically you were correct, but you're using Moscow time zone... though it's Yekaterinburg time +2. So that's off by two hours.

Yipes, you're right!!!!

I didn't realise it was in Ekaterinburg! I was converting Moscow time to GMT. :palmf: :bang:

That's my plans for the day up the creek now!

By the way, I realised what went wrong with the date. I was using the Japanese thread as a template, and forgot to change the date!:

Awww. I'm so sorry about that.

I was trying to hold out creating the thread until we got an official entry list. But, in the end I gave up on Monday. Just as well I did give up, as the official list didn't come out until yesterday. :drama:

In hindsight, I should have just gone ahead and created the thread and not waited. After all, the skaters in the provisional lists changed so many times between me creating the thread and the final list being released. But, I wasn't to know.

I'm afraid the Short Dance had already started when you posted your predictions. So, that'll just be Ladies counting.

I'm so sorry that you are suffering because of my delaying.

CaroLiza, please don't apologize. I was trying to explain why I was such a "slacker" with my late predictions. I hope that didn't seem like a slant toward you. I'm so appreciative of you doing the predictions thread and I really enjoy reading your posts in general. I especially love your enthusiasm for skaters and federations that aren't as well known. The depth of your knowledge! :hap10: (Also not your fault I've been so busy with work, etc.! :) )

By the way, I didn't realize until after I posted (and then also posted my Japanese predictions) that the competition was that far along. But I just enjoy playing so it is OK!

I have few weird picks in the Japanese comps so it will be fun to see if my hunches pay off.

I'm staying out of this!

I'll leave it up to the Men's Scorer to decide what to do.

I made a similar mistake last week with Italian Championships. I realised after the Short Dance had started that I had put the Top 2 in the Men's the wrong way around to what I intended. So, I swapped them around and then realised the same as you.

I left it up to the Men's scorer to decide whether to accept the change. And they did accept it. And I was happy, because that was the way I had intended my predictions to be.

But, the irony is, if they had not accepted it, I would have scored better! :rolleye:

This week, it is a different Men's scorer. So, text_skate will have the final say.
