Wonderful article on Kristi! I appreciate how Hersh points out how she is underappreciated and mentions how she was a victim of prejudice after her win. Krisit is a wonderful role model. Congrats to her!

Yamaguchi was a great champion and deserved every eligible medal she won, but ... I usually enjoyed other skaters more, I'm not sure why, I just never quite got her (I enjoyed her pairs skating more than her singles work).

It's always useful for me to remember that when others don't appreciate my favorite skaters as much as I do.
