2027 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2027 World Junior Figure Skating Championships will take place February 25-28, 2027, in Sofia, Bulgaria, at Arena 8888.
“Junior Worlds” is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union. ISU Member nations select their entries according to their own criteria. Participation in the ISU Figure Skating Junior World Championships is open to all competitors who belong to an ISU Member in accordance with Rule 130, paragraph 1 and qualify with regard to eligibility according to Rule 102, provided their ages fall within the limits specified in Rule 108, paragraph 3. b) of the ISU Constitution and General Regulations before July 1st preceding the event:
- has reached at least the age of thirteen;
- has not reached the age of nineteen for Women and Men in singles competition; and
- has not reached the age of twenty-one for Women and the age of twenty-three for Men in Pair Skating. A maximum age gap of seven years is allowed between the two partners
- has not reached the age of twenty-one for Women and the age of twenty-one for Men in Ice Dance. A maximum age gap of 7 years is allowed between the two partners
Competitors must also meet the citizenship and residency requirements in Rule 109, paragraphs 1 through 5 and Communication No. 2526 (or any updated communications). All Skaters who do not have the nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU Clearance Certificate.
