I don't know but I like Ruslan's costume here very much, but I'm not sure about Elena.
The skirt is fine, but the upper body part needs something more. Unless it's a modern approach, choreo?

If Antonio does the choreo for a skater, he normally advises on their costuming as well - part of the deal is that he controls the whole look of the program. If you look at the costumes he did for Gabriella & Guillaume this year, they are also very simple, espeically Gabi's, so I wouldn't be surprised if the costumes on the magazine are the real thing.
 
According to one of the girls that watch practices (she was last season at that Novogorsk practice as well) Ruslan's costume is one of his costumes, and Elena's is a training costume.

I don't remember the costumes of G&G. I'm all for "simple" but not for something who might look very ordinary.

Antonio Navarro is doing an authentic choreographies of Spanish dance where working with skirt is a part of it very often. Both Annissina and Pechalat used skirt a lot on their Flamenco Original Dances.

That is classy from Zhulin. There are not many coaches who would make a compliment to a dancers who are rivals to his own students.

There is also one another coach who made a compliment to Lena & Ruslan…but in this time I think it was rather not planned…

Vika & Nikita, the fastest couple on the world and the couple who is so talented…were not able to prepare for Test Skate while skating together for few months only…while Lena & Ruslan (skating together as long as Vika & Nikita) were able to prepare for Test Skate and looking at some sources they even skated full programs with all elements.
