2014 Cup of China Mens Free Skate 11/08

TOO MUCH DRAMA.
Imagine if it was primetime in the US??? Think of the viewership????

Again, I personally thought that the judges scores are not allowing Kovtun's Presentation Score to grow naturally. It's still too high for what he showed today. In saying that, he was the best skater on the day and he stayed on his feet so I guess he deserves to win.

Blaming the skater for skating? The fact that both Yan Han and Yuzuru Hanyu struggled through so they'd have a chance at the GPF shows just how much character they have. While I think they both should've gone to the hospital, i have nothing but pure respect and admiration for both going into this Free Skate.

Well, we have different views, then. I appreciate knowing when you need to not skate, very much so. For example what Plushenko did at the olympics, I really respected.

Can anybody update me on what happened to Yuzu and Han? Were they ill or injured before the competition?

He did not

Well I'd like to think he wouldn't refuse medical attention after the skate. Not saying I agree with the decision to perform, but I can only assume he will get extensively checked out one way or another...

I don't think they have the proper equipment (and maybe even personnel) to extensively check him out. I hope he delays his flight home.

I just hope Yuzuru isn't seriously injured. But there should be a rule made that if you lose connsciusness, even for one second, you are OUT of the competition, even if it is the olympics.

Mishe Ge, Nam

PCs ALWAYS take a hit when skaters fall. I really doubt the incident in the warm-up wasn't weighed when the judges scored him.

Maybe not always. ~_~ The favored skaters' PCS don't take a hit when they fall -- in fact it's what props (selected) skaters up when they make a hot mess on ice.

In happier news...Misha Ge was 3rd in the FS and went up two spots to get in the top 5. :) Great job.

I, too, need to go to a hospital after this grand prix event.
bye.

IT means that you have enjoyed the skating coverage. Thank goodness we have Eurosport.
Imagine if they caught footage of the collision- golly it would even make my countries' newspapers!!
