No, they have been really supportive to everyone today, especially if they are having a hard time.

I'm sure they're glad about that, but the crowd has actually been very supportive of all skaters. I think it's more likely they feel bad for Machida and are trying to encourage him.

That was written in jest -- I was sure they were supportive (plus, a third of the audience is Japanese contingent), I've loved this crowd so far next to the Japanese and French. But of course you still can't remove the fact that they still would be wishing for Javi to podium on home ice.
