2025-26 Grand Prix Final Women's Free Skate

She has the programs that have grandeur too, and skates them with appropriate power and emotion.
I think they're pretty bad tbh. There are bits in the LP that I feel could have been skated with joy from a different skater, but her entire posturing is too stiff.

Her best packages were the 2018-19 LP and the 2022-23 LP. Actual best choreography goes to her LP from last season - but she never performed it well, and it was a complete misfire for her skating.

We all know none of this matters to the judges, but her PCS has been bugging me for a while.

Look, this is what judging hive mind wants, and she was consistent with this brand after playing with more 'i am the warrior' style. She is the Grande Dame. Mature. She has programs to match. Judges like. Audience craves. Period.

So proud of you Ami, what a great senior GPF debut!!

Huge stepout (fall?) on the lutz but gutsy, gutsy putting the recovery combo as 3F-3T at the very end. I hope it's enough to stay at the podium!
I thought it should have been called a fall. But she is impressive. Will youth surprise everyone again at the Olympics?

For me this is the worst LP music cut Kaori has this quad. I know this album inside out and the way they pasted the 3 songs together is too amateurish to me. It sounds like who made it is too desperate to make a swan song program. Like just pick one song and commit to it, damn it. Have Karl Hugo make an original composition to support it, IDK.

And as a Kaori fan, her presentation has improved, but her strong point is always her athleticism, displayed in her way of skating and the way she jumps. And sometimes the upper body and arms and hands can be very whatever. There's a reason I think she's the spiritual aunt of Kao Miura- very similar lack of finesse and abundance of power, that Kaori hides better (or gets more expensive and better choreography to hide it better) as she gets older. It's also why the music cut bugs me, because it makes it too obvious that Kaori is really athletic and is able to well-time her skating to the music, and not actually showing any immersion with the music (that a better music cut can give me the illusion of her doing that).

Alysa has terrible jumping technique and skates on two feet in FS. God forbid she becomes an Olympic champion. 3 pcs from Ami is absurd.
What is 3 pcs? Do you mean 3rd? Ami lost on PCS because she had a mistake that disrupted the program and also, because she still skates a bit like a junior. I think the worst thing that could happen to her is for judges to start giving her 9s now, before she has really developed as a senior skater.

Alysa got almost 71, while Ami got almost 68. I don't think Alysa is that far ahead of Ami in terms of skating and transitions.

CAN you imagine alysa gold olympic medalist? That would be comical
No. It wouldn't be comical in the least. She's had the best SP and nerves of steal these past two seasons. Every single one of your posts against Alysa are really coming off as just childishly bitter and absurd. Even her upbeat attitude 'annoys' you. And all because she beat your favorites. Again. It's just sour grapes on your part.

I fear that you might implode on the VERY outside chance that Alysa actually wins the Olympics outright. Even if others make glaring mistakes in their respective programs as they did here. And at Worlds. Smh.

Best SP according to whom? Yes, it’s a very nice program, full of emotion, but she doesn’t skate like the best, sorry. Her PCS are overrated. I like her program, but come on, she gets the same support as Kaori in both the technical and presentation marks.

According to her results these past two seasons. When she's on she's been first or second with her SP. She was first at Worlds and second at the GPF.

I completely disagree with the remainder of your remarks regarding her PCS. I also am aware that you're yet another constant Alysa 'naysayer' to put it nicely, going by all of your negative posts against her. So your opinion on her SP and her skating overall means nada to me. Cheers!

If only the results were fair and honest for everyone, I would give her credit, but that doesn’t happen. You need to stop pretending that someone who doesn’t agree with the scores for certain skaters automatically hates that skater rather than criticizing the judging system. There is a reason why many people don’t trust some of the scores she, as well as other skaters, receives, and it’s not something against the skaters themselves but against the judges.

If I compliment her skating, it’s because I genuinely like it; I don’t have to pretend to like something I don’t. The same goes for the skaters I love most, I won’t ignore benefits they receive, like Kaori flutzing or Mao’s underrotations. That’s simply being objective and true to the sport. You’re not stating an opinion here, but a fact based on results that are often unreliable. I’m not trying to be rude, just honest.

Greetings

I'm not 'pretending'. That would be YOU. I stated facts. Too bad if they don't line up with your alternate universe. You're obviously yet another hater that can't stand that Alysa has beaten your favorites. Again. Fair and square.
You know I'm right too. 😎

Adios 👋🏼
