This team is just too adorable! Now my favorite team! Hope they do well in Russian Nationals and Euros!
 
Aww! :love: I love them! I so want them to win Russian Nationals and I also genuinely think that compared to the rest of the Russian ice dance couples, they are the best.

They're looking for a way to prevent prying eyes from seeing whatever politricks they want to play. But as I see it that is why we need to be still and not stir up the air too much. Ruslena must not be too nervous. Just support them with our prayers. They need to skate in such a way that it would be a crime not to send them on to Europeans or Worlds for both the SD and FD. Who would not want to view this competition? Why is Russia going "dark" for the SD?

Zhulin had made mention of the fact that as NHK all attention was paid to S/K as if his team did not matter. It was so blatantly obvious that they had to comment. If you realize he and Kustarova are being very quiet. They are training their athletes as if this nationals were the most important competition of their lives.

I sense that the FED has sunk a large investment into S/K and they are expecting a grand return or they will be very embarrassed. My heart goes out to I/Z.

Even if the Russian fed tries to politick S/K to the team, I think this will rather be on the costs of M/K and S/B than I/Z. I/Z are obviously respected by the judges and were the only Russian couple to qualify for the GPF, that`s not something they can ignore. My guess is that I/Z,S/K and B/S will be on the team. If B/S can`t compete at Euros, M/K will go. That`s my prediction.

But they have mad investment in this team. They are still receiving regional(?) financial support like I&Z, because they are not par of the national team yet. The rest of the money must be private money.

You may be right, but just the way the FED does things sometimes just really turns me off, tbh. I just feel right now like just stepping away from nationals, leaving it with God, and reading the good news come Saturday morning.

I thought Nikita is using his money he earned during the Olympic season to pay their expenses. Besides, I remember that at the beginning of this season someone from the Russian fed told a newspaper that they would treat every couple equally. I think the PCS during COR were very telling. I/Z gained on S/K 6 points with their higher PCS.

True, its just the way the Russian FED does things makes me more nervous than I ought sometimes. Let's just leave it at that. Sorry for ranting.

Or papa Sinitsina is/was. I don't think Nikita can pay for all expenses in USA, with the money he earned during the Olympics. Although it is a good story. ;)

Bramweld, they are also not showing Pairs SP and Men SP, just let's not sink into crazy conspiracy theories that go around vk and such places. If something is not televised it doesn't mean that it's a closed and secret event.Who in his right mind would have anything against the best russian team?

And I don't want to see I/Z presented as victims of anyone cause they are extremely amazing skaters and the best team right now in Russia,and everybody knows it and one of the best in the world. People should just let go and stop bringing some others into every discussion. I understand that some I/K fans are still bitter, and they will never stop mentioning that certain skater, but well, not everyone thought highly of him enough to be so disappointed, and I'm glad that I/Z have their own fans.

If S/K make the team, it will probably be over M/K and S/B, not the only team that made the GPF and had the 4th best FD. And CoR was a sort of preliminary Russian Nats- M/K weren't there, but I suspect the order will be the same at Nationals. Why would they suddenly change their minds for a team that hasn't even gotten the World TES minimum?

You are so right. Enough with the conspiracy theories. I hadn't realized that they weren't showing any of the SP's.

I agree. I/Z to me are the clear cut favorites. They have some of the best skating skills in the world and a presence to boot. The international judges recognize, I/Z fans know it, and I'm sure the Fed does as well. I/Z have so much fan support in Russia and I think the good energy will get them through. The audience was behind them at COR and I believe they will be behind them here.
