Pang and Tong Making a Comeback?!?

Confirmation from P/T, they won't come back for WC, probably won't even in gala (not sure yet).
Whatever came from Trankov's mouth dur his GPF commentating, you can take it as a joke ;)

I believe you more than Trankov. P/T were carrying the torch for China longer than they would like due to the lag in team development. They were ready to go on with their personal lives but were needed to secure Chinese entries at Worlds. These days there is a new crop of impressive young Pairs from China, plus P/Z.

Seriously it depends on if P/T WANTS to skate one more WC or not.

so far none of the young Chinese pairs can get better PCS, plus their jumps are not very secured either.

Yes, i feel they should retire and have a baby long ago.

Now I heard P/T are going to 4CC and probably WC, it is still speculation. P/T are sort of avoiding to answer the question directly whether they will compete in WC, but confirm they will make an appearance in Shanghai.

P/Z and S/H are now practicing both quad twists and quad throws.

If the speculation is true, the game plan looks like 2 TES teams backing up with 1 PCS team, so Y/J might not go to the Worlds. The decisions are made by coaching/managing team, I understand this is a hometown WC, but this plan is gambling on short term goal with risking long term development (as typical as some political culture), and do they really think P/T's PCS is that much better than K/S? :rolleye:
The outcome of WC might not be very different with or without P/T competing, well, it's their decision to make :confused2:

I would love to see them back on the ice, that would be such a nice surprise. if they are still fit and capable to compete, and able to produce good programs, why not. they are one of the best pairs I have seen, so even if they aren't at their prime, i would still rather watch them skate then a MANY of the current skaters.

they just posted a clip of their new SP stsq

I would say it's way above the programs we've seen so far

Unbelieveblie.

It is a little bit like living legends return to stage.

It the season after the Olympics and nevertheless there are so many high-class pairs: D/R, S/K, S/H, P/Z, K/S... hopefully P/T and V/T. That´s class.

I believe it's more than a speculation.
Besides they never deny they will participate in WC, they are in training and they will not look for Morozov if it's only for a gala.
It's heard that they are FS is in processing.
It's also heard that a magazine published a month ago said that they were in recovery instead of retirement. Since that reporter seems to have a very close relationship with P/T, for sure Sochi is not their last competition and not even WC in Shanghai.
Both 4CC and WC were thought to be booked by them cause no one for medals would take WC as a debut.
Festa for them, their fans and even audience, but clearly not a delightable plan for the rising Chinese team. PZ,SH will lose their position and WW, YJ will lose one 4CC or one Worlds.

whether it is from a new SP or not I am SLAYED.
here it is if any of you want to watch

Wow!!! That was really nice. Early in their careers, I thought her skating skills were much weaker than his, but she has improved over time :). As for the comeback rumors, I think it's great if they want to have a farewell skate on "home" ice.

Woah, it's almost a little ice dance-esque. I like it!

Still not sure to think of the comeback rumours. If it's true, I just really, really hope they themselves want to come back, and it's not the Chinese Fed pushing them as the best medal hope in WC.

P/T's posted Ice Dance-esque step sequence is an interesting contrast to Savchenko/Massot's impressive twist in their posted demo. Are these indicated emphases by these Pair?

They are training in Moscow now.
Yesterday they posted their current rankings in their twitts.
Now it's for sure they'll come back for 4cc and Worlds.
And I think they'll continue further than 2015, possibly for 2018.
Curiously to see how the Chinese team will readjust their coming Olympic plan.

Are you sure about this? Maybe they're training for the Worlds exhibition.

I can't see any scenario of them continuing past 2015. I don't think their bodies can handle it. And while I don't trust the Chinese Fed, I doubt they're delusional enough to keep pushing Pang/Tong when they've got four wonderful teams they can develop over the next cycle.

P/T really need to step aside and let the younger teams take over. Didn't they hold off getting married because there were no teams ready to take over after 2010 so they kept going? Did they ever get married? I think it's time to move on.

They are training for 4CC and WC. Chinese Fed has already assigned their Y/J to the World Universary and remain the 4CC position for P/T,
I think to a larger degree, it's a decision by themselves instead of Chinese fed. Before they decide to come back, Chinese team try their best to push W/W and Y/J onto the stage. They had a complete plan for 2018 based on the four teams. Now this plan has to be changed.
I believe they published their come back because they have handle well.

They have got married. But haven't had a wedding. The wedding is in this year. Curiously whether it will be held in WC.
