Beautiful. I hope she can pull this off in competition.
That was gorgeous!
I wondered whether she was still capable of doing one. Other than that video of her doing one back when she was 13 years old, I don't recall see any other video of it. Nice to see that it's still there. Man, if she can add that to her arsenal I don't think anyone will be able to touch her.
She's definitely going to be in the history books as one of the most gifted jumpers of all time. All 5 triples (with correct edges) plus a 3A...yeah, that will put her among an elite few. As long as she's able to land it in competition several times (and she increases the difficulty of her 3-3s), I think she might be able to trump both Yu-Na and Mao in the jumps department by the time she retires.
On Russian forums the posters are already making bets on Lisa doing 3A at Euro! But no any reliable info from Lisa's team yet. Another upsetting bit of news that they are at a training camp in Estonia now and that there is an outbreak of flu with several people are ill. So hope Lisa will be alright and in her best form for Stockholm

Love how she drives into the jumps with her hips, not her arms, though she is probably more powerful in the upper body than we realize. Not surprising from someone who can do a tano 2a from basically a standstill. The scale, combined with a tight leg position(Tonya looked tilted and Ito had that figure 4 leg wrap)- for me, it's the best looking 3a ever from a lady. Really hoping the best for her!
To be fair, she has posted maybe two 3A's that she has ever done, and probably what she has posted are among the two best 3A's she has ever done in practice, so of course they are going to look better than the average competitive ones performed by Tonya or Midori. Here is what Midori was capable of during practice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-wCqJmwQRA

Since Sunday. (The second one, obviously.) That's when she started doing them on ice again - before that she's only done them in harness.
ETA - Obviously doing one in competition is different, but I don't see the need to downplay her achievement here. She landed the 3A the first day of practice - that is no mean feat, I think!
Wow!
Midori's 3A is incredible.
There is a new video on youtube that shows Liza practising the 3A:

Looks pretty stunning!![]()

I'm not downplaying it at all, I'm just saying Midori and Tonya exhibited mastery of the jump by executing it several times in competition, and Liza isn't there yet. We don't know if Liza hits 8/10 or 1/20 in practice based on the video.
