But at Euro's she did a 3t-3t, 3lz, 2a in that order ......none of which were in bonus time.
That was just my speculation, based on what she tried at Bavarian Open (3A with 3T-3T) and the Hersh article (with the video of her 3Lz-3T). It makes sense to practice 3Lz-3T for the LP if she ends up behind in the SP. But adding both 3A and 3Lz-3T to the SP seems like overkill.
EDIT: Also, 3T-3T was in the bonus at Bavarian Open.

Well one thing is certain......she isn't going to be sick of her programs this year with all of the layout changes that have been going on each event....Tabula Rasa. From one week to the next it can be completely different.

I will add though I'm not sure how I feel about having a variable approach to her FS at this season's World Championships. I understand the concept and get that she doesn't need or probably even want to do more than she needs to in order to secure the gold. That said....shouldn't she just prepare the best program she can and bring it to worlds and nail it. Regardless of what Elena or anyone else is doing. Sometimes you just wind up outsmarting yourself in the end. Then again.....no one is jumping better than Liza this year. She can probably just do whatever she wants and everything will work out.

She could very well come with one set layout for the LP regardless of what happens. In fact, her old layout with 3Lz-3T could become very Zayak-heavy with the new doubles rules.

^ Matter of region, I guess. I have to agree with psusanne; at least in central Europe, 'oriental' actually has a completely different connotation. It's basically used as a synonym for 'exotic' though specifically pertaining to the part of the world from Turkey to China. As a matter of fact, 'exotic' and 'oriental' have a much more positive connotation here than 'Eastern' or 'Middle-eastern'. I doubt Elizaveta herself would mind her music being called 'oriental', cf. this Bazarova quote about her programs for her first season with Deputat: "I would love to try spanish or oriental music." I very much doubt she meant it to be insulting. Hence, a friendly note that in some parts of the world the word 'oriental' is considered offensive, would IMO be enough; I'm not a fan of generalizing statements.
Fingers crossed for Elizaveta's Worlds. I hope she saves the 3A for next season. I too think it's quite risky to include in a major competition, eventhough the landings were close in the preceding ones.

So much drama in Liza's fan thread these days. I guess this is what happens when you become really popular.
Anyway, regarding the 3Z-3T, I don't think she will attempt it at Worlds if she is already introducing the 3A into her SP.
At Euros the 2A was just 1-2 seconds away from getting the bonus, so I think that was an error on her part. It's happened before.

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned in another thread that I had started to make a piece of fan-art to mark Liza winning the European Championships. Well, here it is:

I suppose I should explain why Liza is not on her own in this fan-art.
During the same week that the European Championships were being held in Sweden, the Nordic Skiing and Biathlon portions of the Winter Universiade were being held in Slovakia.
In the Women’s Ski Jumping at the Universiade, Irina Avvakumova won the Gold medal in the Individual Normal Hill competition on Tuesday 27th January. Then, 2 days later on Thursday 29th, Irina partnered Anastasiya Gladysheva to win Gold in the Team Normal Hill competition.
In fact, Irina set the longest jump and scored the most points in both rounds of both the Individual and Team competitions.
On that same Thursday, Liza finished 2nd in the SP. Two days later on the Saturday, she won the FS, and claimed the title of European Ladies Champion.
Not only did she win the Gold Medal, but Liza achieved her Personal Best score in both the Short Programme and the Free Skate. Consequently, she also achieved her overall Personal Best score.
Like Liza, Irina is from an Udmurt family.
So, given that these 2 girls are from the same part of Russia, and they managed to win THREE Gold Medals between them in the space of just FIVE days, I felt it would be appropriate to do a joint piece of fan-art.
Apologies that I am uploading this 3 weeks after I was intending to. The simple reason is that I’m no good at editing photos, especially when it requires removing backgrounds from around people.
Plus it kinda slows things up when, in the middle of the project, you come across a different photo of one of the people, and you think that would be a better one to use!

Thanks for the link! There are some odd things in this interview like quads (journalist confused it with 3A?) or Lisa's injury (I am sure it was after Olympics not before) but I translated a few bits I thought interesting:
-The most famous student of Mishin is Plushenko. Did you practice along the Olympic champion?
-Yes, it was very cool. He used to call me ‘my young friend’, gave me advice on how to do some element. I think it is very good approach to put novices & top skaters together. You watch how they work and learn from that, want to get fast to their level or even better (a laugh)
-You are one of a few ladies landing quads (????) On the TV it appears effortless, and in reality?
-It is very hard, physically & psychologically. A quad is a very special jump. It requires not only more energy but a lot of concentration & focus in order to get it right and avoid an injury
-There are so many talented girls now, the competition within the national team is crazy. Tell the truth how far the rivalry would go?
- I was told that some girls went as far as ruining the blades of other girls’ skates. But I myself have never come across anything like that. Yes, the rivalry is there, how without it? We are all driven by healthy ambition but the atmosphere in the team is good or may be I am so naïve to think it is good.. When you lose you can blame only yourself for your mistakes, for not working hard enough

Rarely. Sometimes I can’t get some element and I go mad. Aleksei Nikolaevich [Mishin] sees that and offers to put the practice off. And the following day everything clicks together. I am very lucky that my coach is so understanding and kind. He is the best in the world. He finds own approach to every student. If something is not going right he will explain again. Sometimes he can press you to do something but not by shouting, he can say a couple words in such a way that you just rush to do it. Tatiana Prokofieva, the choreograph, is very helpful too. I don’t know what I would have done without her in the difficult period when I was injured.
-Julia Lipnitskaia says that Lisa is very relaxed, just comes out and skates cleanly. How can you do it?
-Julia is a fighter and skates well herself. But I am glad that she is of such opinion of me. It means that all my hard work has paid off. I myself feel that I have reached a certain level. People say that I’ve grown up a lot. What you feel inside you bring on to the ice. And now I feel like I want to fly!
-Do you differ in everyday life from Lisa we see on the ice?
-I never put on a mask. I am the same person in competitions as in life. To pretend is just not me. It is better to be true to yourself. Then people will love a real me and not some fake.
-BTW how are things with romance and suitors?
-For me my career comes first. I do not think seriously about anything else now. But it doesn’t mean that I am on my own. I have suitors, lots of attention. Sometimes I even want to be left alone in peace, want to play my guitar. I can play a little and sing, my friends say it is not too bad

I think that's a really important quality in a coach. (I almost felt tempted to cite that whole part in the "who is the best coach" thread - but that momentary impulse is past.)

There I got friendly with some girls-skaters and later came to their practice because I didn’t want to lose my new friends. For some time I was the youngest in the group and behind all but with time managed to catch up with them
-How did you get to St Petersburg to famous coach Mishin?
-We met in Belgorod during the competition. Aleksei Nikolaevich said afterwards that he liked my jumps. Indeed I jumped high, sometimes I only won because of my toeloop or sal, I had no spins or steps. Anyway he looked at my program and invited to his master class. I was 9 years old.
Every month for two weeks I and my first coach Svetlana Veretennikova came from Udmurtia to St Petersburg. We worked with A.N. on the technique, jump combinations. It was very hard. At the beginning I was leaving home in tears. Though in my home Glazov the conditions were bad: only one skating rink for all – hockey players, figure skaters & public. Not enough ice time. In order to get things done I used to come at 7am. But it was tough in Peterburg too– I had to stay in a tiny room in dormitory without bathroom.'
