"15-year-old Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva, who won the short program at the Junior world championship, criticized the training conditions in the ice hall of Tojireba"
"To be honest, at the training arena is very cold. I don't know what the temperature is, perhaps ten degrees (°C), my ears, cheeks, hands freeze. But on the main arena is very warm and good," Medvedeva said in a television interview for ETV.
The rising star of the Russian figure skating won the short program with a record for juniors sum - 68,48. The winner of the world championship among girls will be determined on Friday, March 6th"

Congrats Evgenia! She was my chosen from the beginning of the season and in the end I turn out to be right... Again! :rock:

Today, March 6, in Tallinn (Estonia) the world figure skating Championships among juniors continues. Juniors competition ended with the triumph of the Russian figure skaters, students of Eteri Tutberidze: Evgenia Medvedeva won (192,97 points), Serafima Sakanovich became the silver medalist (186,15). Evgenia Medvedeva shared of her emotions with the special correspondent of the portal TEAM RUSSIA-2014 Boris Khodorovsky.
- After his speech, I realized: I became a champion! - said Evgenia. - I didn't have another choice. I arrived in Tallinn to win.
- Can you compare the thrill of this year's tournament and of the adult Russian Championship in Sochi, where you become the bronze medalist?
In Tallinn it was more difficult. In the RusNationals I realized that I am not ready to beat many skaters yet. The girls had the higher rating and credibility. So I just went out and skated calmly. Here was a big responsibility at me, which in some way helped. I knew exactly with what thoughts I need to go on the ice.

- It's easy. I often changed the mood, I can be both white&fluffy and combat&perky

Congrats to the new junior champion! I don't think many people expected her to overtake Sima in all major competitons after she got lower scores early in JGP, but she made it happen! And according to that press conference she's thinking of possibly doing 4S later on. Next season will be insane :shocked:
 
Congratulations to Evgenia for winning the Junior World Championships. I'm glad that someone I liked the most in Juniors from the beginning of the season won the competition.
