Oh Liza...I'm so nervous for her! I don't even know if I'll be able to watch her performance. :drama: I'm hoping she can go out there and SLAY, with or without the 3A! Good luck, Liza!! :cheer2:

This is what I was thinking. I have decided I am not going to watch her. I did not watch her Europeans either. I play it back when I know the results. I hope Liza pulls the win off. After her last couple of years she deserves it.

going out of town
no internet no nothing

1 more time
Good luck Lizaaaaa!!!!!:cheer:

To be honest, had she skated last or close to last, she would have broken 78 because PCS would have been higher. But perhaps she would have been more nervous going last too. So it all evens out.

Liza leads Elena by 8.11 pts going into the FS.

Level 4 for StSq. She totally deserved it. You can tell that her team worked really hard at improving the StSq. One crazy judge gave her -1 for her lutz. Absolutely ridiculous.

TES should have been higher. GOE on the 3Z and combo were too low, especially when compared to the other skaters.

I never got into the whole 3A should-she-or-shouldn't-she conversation, because I just felt like Liza and Mishin know far better than any of us if it was the right time and place, and of course they did. I felt no fear watching her at all (thankfully, since the men will do me in for sure). Worst case scenario if she hadn't landed it, she would have carried on as if it was nothing. Her mental strength impresses me even more than the technical ability.

Liza is ! Papa Mishin is ! Now how is she going to carry that giant pig back to SPB....:laugh2:

Yup, same for me.

I agree about the lutz. The combo wasn't the greatest she's ever done. I'd agree with the GOE on that.. I also noticed she lost a level in her first spin. Stuff she can work on if she really wants that WR.

I'm confident she will break the WR next season. The combo will be upgraded for one.

That. Was. Incredible.

I shouldn't still be awake at this time, but I need to give mad props to Liza one more time. She has not only the ability but the killer instinct to get it done when it counts. The crowd was on her side from the warm-up, and on their feet after she finished.
