Elena Ilinykh & Ruslan Zhiganshin

I wonder if they should dye their hair... Like Ruslan with fairer hair, so they will look more constract? Like D/W did to their hair.

How did you come up with that? I have never paid attention to the hair colour/contrast before. But to answer your question, no I don't think he should dye his hair. He is fair enough, IMO.

Well I meant easy with Elena who I consider to be the goods but I must admit Ruslan is growing into a pretty handsome dude so she better be easy with him too. I mean blades are sharp and foot placement is key on certain lifts :hopelessness: No need to damage any of the goods this team has to offer;)

What were those black outfits they had on. I prefer simple and sophisticated for appearance.

HEY! For me Ruslan has always been like that :p

For me too. He's a handsome guy and they look great as a couple. I like their look better than the look of her previous partnership. And he shouldn't dye his hair, it'll get a bit lighter in shade in the summer anyway.
The season is over and I already look forward to next season! :laugh2:

A bit late, but happy to congratulate RusLena with nice performance at the WTT and with the long-awaited and well-deserved possibility to relax and to have a rest! :cheer:
A bit sad that we won't see them in the gala, though:(... but as it has been said it means that they already can start to relax!

It's great that they were able to do so many first level competitions in their first season together! That's really a ton of experience for them. I think that in a partnership you really learn to know each other in difficult, stressful and challenging situations. They didn't get great scores, but I think they had two nice performances and that's really a great way to end this season.

These two no longer look like a new pair. May God bless them with great programs next season. This season they have learned how to walk together, next season I hope they run !!

:thumbsup::yes:
I can't wait for the new choreographer. Apparently he's expected in Russia on the 1st of May. So we know he is foreigner. I wonder who he might be.

I can't wait either! I am so proud of our team! There are many great things to come for these two❤️❤️❤️

I totally agree! And let me add, I know that some friends hate the FD, but seriously it was one of their best this season, it had the feel again, it had the chemistry, they skated it in their own terms and not get marks. And they got their levels, especially their lifts that had been so criticized.

So they deserve all the $ they're getting and some more

But, oh come on, Ruslan is fair, almost blonde, what can he do, dye his hair to become like Olivier S?

Because they missed one at the Europeans and the usual suspects hit the panic, or worse the mean button. :rolleye:
Honestly, they did a great job for a new couple, with elements such as lifts that are very difficult at the beginning of a new partnership. Their last lift, a difficult one I must add, has been consistent and only improved with time. The only thing I didn't like about that lift was the exit, but not because of the execution.
Of course they have things which needs to improve (funny enough the spins are their weakest elements, IMO). That's normal, but overall this season has been amazing. The only fact that some (me included perhaps) felt a bit disappointed that they didn't medal at the Europeans, or placing 4rth "at least" said some;), at Worlds, only shows how much potential this couple has.
They need two strong programs now and they will be strong contenders next season. Mark my words!!!

I hope you're right, Alba. Keeping my fingers crossed that they can get a memorable program that suits them next season, skate it clean, and get their consistency. So far they did better than was initially expected, and I hope they're enjoying their much-deserved rest now. :)

That's another strong reason why they need two good strong programs, from the start. They will still have some difficulties at the beginning of the next one. I suppose they will have more difficult programs and the waltz is much more difficult than Paso, but at they will not spent the whole season working on a program, constantly modifying and changing it. That brings only insecurity and errors, especially when you are new to each other. With two good programs they will become more polished and strong with each outing, because the focus will be on how to improve the skating together, not the programs.
The great thing about this year is that they have gained a huge experience. Success and failure included. That is something that no hard training can give you. I also think they will partecipate in some B competition. That will help them with the levels/programs, when and if needed, from the start and will also improve their ranking. ;)

So I never paid attention to this before, but about what time would we see updated profiles with new music choices? (I'm too ahead of the game I know)
