Elizaveta Tuktamysheva

They could have picked a better photo of Liz Taylor. Like, erm, this one from 1949:

Taylor, age 17, poses with photos of her then-beau, 1946 Heisman trophy winner Glenn Davis.

I know, I shouldn't keep using the same photo every time this subject crops up! But, the similarity really is uncanny! In fact, were it not for the "All America" jumper, I would swear that it was Liza in this photo!

So, for a bit of variety, how about this one from 1950:

Taylor, age 18, after graduating from Hollywood's University High School.

Both these photos, as well as some even earlier ones of Liz Taylor (she didn't look as much like Liza when she was younger), can be found on this page.

I'm sure Miss Tuktamysheva is hoping that she ages as well as Miss Taylor did! ;)

Dare I say Liza is even more beautiful than Liz was. Seriously girl!
Ladies skater in general are hardly short of stunning but team Russia really is something special!

Is it just me, or does Liza look like a film noir femme fatale here?

Mmmm. Possibly.

But, the first time I saw Liza in this photo, the first comparison I drew was not to an actress from the golden age of film. It was actually to another skater, and a current one at that.

Elena Ilinykh.

OK, so Liza and Elena have very different faces. But, that is definitely Elena's hairstyle!

29th April: Just a cute foto☺️❤️ (Liza Instagram)

30th April: With my love and super star!🌼⭐💛❤️💋 (Ekaterina Instagram)

While I'm here, after seeing these 2 photos, I would like to give some advice to both girls (but particularly Ekaterina).

Don't over-do it on the make-up and (especially) the lipstick. You are both naturally very beautiful, so there is no need for it.

Yes, she does rather.:) Here, some music to go along with it:

(Yes, what? looks injured)

Haven't heard that music before, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!!! :cheer:

(As you may have worked out from the music suggestions I have made in the past, I love dramatic music. :drama: )

Somebody HAS to use this for a skating routine!!!! :agree:

Elizabeth Taylor was the definition of the femme fatale. So, given the similarity, Liza has to be the perfect candidate to bring this music to the ice! ;)

Interesting to see her skate to something softer. Not sure how I feel about the program right now... it looks a little rough, but I think she'll improve it as she gets more comfortable. :)

Bolero looks so effortless and polished. The EX version is surprisingly enjoyable. Without difficult jumps to worry about, Liza can put 100% of her energy into performing and channelling her inner femme fatale.

Also, did she modify the Bolero dress? I don't recall it being off-the-shoulder in competitions... I quite like the change...

My friend in Russia said Mishin told the press Liza almost jumps the 4T, she only shorts on 1/4 rotation.:) I forgot to ask the source.

Oh my that sounds rather crazy. She just got the 3A ratified and working on putting it in the LP. I am assuming that it is only in training and Papa Mishin won't be bringing that in until perhaps the season prior to Pyeongchang 2018. Got to really take the hat off to Liza and Mishin. Liza is presently the only female skater to really embrace the olympic motto of faster, higher, stronger. For the rest, few have executed anything harder than the 3Lz-3T of Kristi Yamaguchi in competition (just a few 3F3R, 3Lz3R, 3R3R).
