Hello all. Here is my 4th and final review of Fantasy on Ice 2015. This one is a review of the Kobe show that was last weekend. I went to the 2nd showing. I would love some feedback on the review. I think I am rambling, talking too much. But there is so much more I want to say! LOL! Anyway, as you know, the audience cannot take pictures, but I've included a few press shots and as soon as video is up of the performances, I will put links in the show notes.

Thanks in advance for watching! :)

It takes A LOT of money, so I am teaching additional classes just so that I can afford it. It was also exhausting, spending almost every weekend for the last two months, traveling around Japan to see the different shows. I know I shouldn't, but I just can't help it. I am addicted. Not just to see Yuzuru, but figure skating in general. Just love it! And living in Japan, I am ideally placed to see many of the shows here. I am very fortunate that way. :rolleye:

Again, I enjoyed your review a lot! Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

i´m often thinking about yuzuru´s private life. i mean, theoretically he could have a secret relationship somewhere...a girlfriend or boyfriend, whatever... it would help against loneliness:yes: i think he is very lonely:cry:

Hmmm, the most recent interview where he mentioned this was already 2 years ago in 2013 with Yukari Nakano . He said he of course wants a girlfriend, but it is hard to get one because he was training overseas and he is not one of those who are attracted to foreign girls. You can find altogether six interviews of him talking on this topic.

What??? an encore to this song?? lols!!! I actually like the song quite a lot!! (are you talking about this piece from the junior worlds fp?)

yeah...that one Kee...
Although I know that if Yuzu revisits paganini again,he'll make it even better. Just the thought of Yuzu's costume (and hair) during juniors being worn like that now:disapp:
can't imagine.

Is it Cool ?The Women versions of Yuzu and Plushy's yukata. (It Seems that will be on sale soon.)

@KansaiPJ thank you for the link I will try to watch it in slow motion later so I would understand what you are saying great

The link doesn't work for me  ...(since I don't have Face Book account that's why?)

How come?? what does the page say (it leads you to facebook, but ask you to log in or simply can't access at all??)
edit: How about this link? does it work for you?

I tried editing the colors of some of yuzu's costumes also, hope you all will like it :)

I added another link, if you're interested, perhaps you can try it? (it's in my original post)

I saw your pictures...I thought the changing of the colors in the costume was interesting.
Now you can see what Yuzu would like with any color on his costume.

I can see both of them! Yuzu's costumes are detailed. So we can enjoy them also changing their colors! Various colors you put were lovely! I especially love white hana-ni-nare! Well done!

A brief report on last part of today's July 5th FaOI by Angelica Yuzu at YH International Fan Group.
(Further discussion in this FB posting also confirming Yuzu imitated Jeff's uptown funk )
https://twitter.com/KotaroFukuma

The pianist for the Kobe FaOI, Kotaro Fukuma, shares a story about the Chopin collaboration with Yuzu:
(as always, please correct me if I get it wrong and this is just a general translation)
こんにちはにゅう~ (^^) (T/N: Here he's making a pun with the name "Hanyu" and "Hello".)

I will explain yesterday's surprise in detail. There was a 'happening' (meaning the ice condition) on the 4th day show, and I was playing ballade 1 and Yuzu who was listening to it by the rink, came to my seat that evening at dinner and said, "Tomorrow, at the end of the Finale, could you please you do a collaboration with me to Ballade no.1?" What an honor!

However, his SP had many cuts in it, so I looked it up that night on Youtube and that morning we had a 10 minute sound-check and practice with him (Yuzu) and I waited for the real performance with nervousness. It's very difficult to play a piece you know well, with a specified cut and at a different tempo than usual.

To play at the Finale in front of top level skaters and artists is such a rare situation, many deep emotions welled up in me. The timing of the last two notes was unique and difficult but I watched the spin as I played to match it.

Last night I thanked everyone involved with FaOI but I want to specially thank the leader Yuzu. Completing such a hard program and still being aware/concerned for those around him, and enlivening the area. So impressive. (In that regard, Nobu was wonderful too!)

I've learned so much from the skaters at this FaOI. If there is an opportunity I'd love to come back again and I'd like to see how I can take this experience and bring it into the Japanese music world.
Anyway, this week I have 3 shows in Europe, I will give it the energy of a 3-combo jump!
Just saw on tweeter that Yasunobu Matsuo the pianist/composer of "Requiem of Heaven and Earth" music also met Yuzuru during FaOI Kobe. More in this blog (Matsuo blog?). Is behind them Matsuo's bouquet to Yuzu with Pooh and balloons in the colour of Requiem costume ?

From fans
Video montage of Yuzuru set to the music of "Requiem." Of course I can't read the subs, but this is a case where an image is worth a thousand words.

I've tried the Art Noveau style this time which was fun. (You may notice that I can't stick to any one style.)

So… Hi..

I decided to make a site for fun, and it happened to be about Yuzu!

When I was first a fan, I personally found it hard to find videos and documentaries about Yuzu and I felt bad asking people for link so I thought why not make a sort of “archive” site for this.

I’m not a professional web designer and the site is not as organized (I still need to add A LOT of stuff, such as mobile…) as I would like it, but I hope it can help someone. The site is in its first stages (I just published it…) so there is not that much content, nothing new you guys probably don't know…yet

Comments of improvements is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Disclaimer: Absolutely NONE of the content such as videos and photos are my own, I state credit to owner.
i am not sure this was shared before (for obvious reasons, thread moves so fast XD) but this fan art is one of the most real fan arts i have seen
and only 4 days before FaOI Kobe!

Old stuff
It's interesting to see diffrence in quad salchow from Hanyu in 2012 and in 2014

2012:

2014:

Completely diffrent jump between 2012 and 2014

Thanks for your time in preparing these reviews. I found them very interesting and like others have said I'm so jealous (but in a friendly way!) I'm curious...are you American? Teaching English classes in Japan? Lucky you to be there and able to go to see such great skaters. :)

So… Hi..

I decided to make a site for fun, and it happened to be about Yuzu!

I just visited your site and voted for "Ballade" as favorite SP. Thank you for creating this resource for Yuzuru fans.

Thank you for sharing, you're doing a great job. And yes it's true what you said that skaters for all their training and skill can have off days with their jumps. (Hopefully these will be few and far between for Yuzuru.) But it's good feedback that despite the jump errors, maybe because of fatigue due to doing an earlier show the same day, "SEIMEI" still enthralled you. Shows that there is more to Yuzuru's skating than jumps.

The winning Hanyu photo caption by Worlds2016 organiser.

Here are the submitted captions on FB and on twitter .

I like the winning caption, Yuzuru as the quad Santa Claus. :)

Is it Cool ?The Women versions of Yuzu and Plushy's yukata. (It Seems that will be on sale soon.)

They're beautiful designs and look equally good on either sex. Btw can't help but see in the adjoining shot that Sota besides catching up with Yuzuru in terms of height also possesses that long, elegant neck.

I tried editing some photos of yuzu, I shared it on the fb group already, but still want to share it here in case some of you haven't seen it before, they don't look perfect yet since I'm getting a hang of photo editing , hope you guys will like it!!

I like.

Everyone thanks for the links and updates. Looking forward to Saturday's FaOI Kobe broadcast and the ensuing internet uploads. :)
