2015 Skate Detroit Jul 21-25

I'm going to be missing the livestream for Junior Ladies Group D today due to a job interview. If someone could post a recap of Sarah Tamura's program that would be great. Doesn't need to be super detailed or anything. Just her music, her outfit and her score. Thank you:)

I tend to agree; I really loved it at junior worlds, and I'm not sure how great a decision it was to keep it for this year. If anything, she should have kept the short from last year.

yeah, i loved everything about her SP, music, choreography, costume  maybe they changed it because of jump layout  and ChSq seems short, and hard to distiguish when its back to back with StSq, its still early though, i am sure (i hope rather XD) they will change it for the better

Thanks for the report! Livvy was one that I commented on earlier that I really liked. Her music was so cool and interesting. The whole thing was put together quite well. That's such s bonus that being there you got to see how the costumes looked much better than us thru the feed. Thanks again!!! Are you going back for more?

Yup, I'm going back today and tomorrow. I really liked Livvy's music too and when the beat came in, my shoulders just started a little shimmy as I sat in the stands  I mentioned that to Mrs. Shilling and Livvy when I met them and they laughed, then joked that I should come on board to choreograph some shimmies. Lol, that's about all I could bring to the table, sadly.

Sarah Tamura
FS Score: 77.06 + SP Score 49.59 = 117.65
Dark Dress with Gold Pattern on one side and white highlights on the other. (Sorry...I'm a guy...fashion isn't my thing)

Good program and nice music that has many interesting parts. Lots of orchestral and wind instruments thundering along. My favorite part was right into a footwork section toward the end. The orchestra went into a pizzicato thing while a flute took the lead. It set a nice tone. I liked it.

The skating was pretty good although she is certainly capable of a better score. Not even just the falls because that will happen but unless there was a major issue with sound being delayed she finished at least 5 seconds late. The music stopped and she was still doing a layback but just kept going anyway all the way into a Biellmann. It was a nice Beillmann but I think she probably got a time deduction and invalidated her last spin. Oh well....I too would want to show that Beillmann off

Jumps were nice when landed. Started off with a 3s that had great flow and then did a 3t-2t with a hesitation going into the 2t but got it. She then had a huge and very secure 2a that was great  It became a bit hit or miss the rest of the way and she was forcing things a bit and had a few falls but whatever. She did a 2a-intended half loop-2t that was interesting. 2a was nice but she froze and did the loop on the ground and then the 2t. I believe this would have been scored as a 2a-2t since she stayed on only one edge between jumps which makes it a valid combo. She had nice spins and good control on them. Only complaint was the final one which I've already covered.

I liked it and was glad I watched. Thank you for pointing her out. I am probably wrong on some calls here but....I tried my best. Hope the interview went well:)

Wow sunnystars!!! Nice recaps:clap: I was selfish and made my super secret spicy spaghetti instead of watching everyone and only watched Sarah

The interview went very well. They want to do a second one with the manager, yay! Thanks again for doing the recap, she's one of my favorites.
