Skaters on Team Japan

“Otsumenasai” doesn’t make sense at all in this situation!:laugh2:. What’s more, why could he use this honorific prefix o- ? (And the expression is a bit classical.. Where had he learned it? Lol)

Sota is still getting taller? :shocked:According to News Crip about this Junior camp, Sota’s heightened the possibility to get 4T:clap:. Anyway, boys and girls look energetic!

I thought he got "otsukaresama" and "okaerinasai" confused and mixed up. Bless him for trying. (What does "otsumenasai" mean? "お詰めなさい"? as in "come closer"?)
I hope Sota can land the 4T in competition this season!

maybe mistaken for otsukaresama?

I think those skaters in the front row are
Taichiro Yamakuma - Daichi Miyata - Sota Yamamoto - Sena Miyake - Koshiro Shimada - Kazuki Tomono -
Wakaba Higuchi - Yuna Shiraiwa - Marin Honda - Kaori Sakamoto - Yuna Aoki - Yura Matsuda - Moa Iwano - Rika Kihira - Mako Yamashita?
I think so, probably he tried to say "Otsukaresama"

By the way you have an observing eye! I could hardly tell one from another with that small picture.

Yes, I was half joking but I'm still interested to know what "otsumenasai" might mean

I think it's Taichi Honda behind Shimada and Yamakuma is the one behind Miyake? It's hard to tell.
Iwano, Kihira and Yamashita are the 3 girls I didn't know the faces of. Thank you!

Higuchi does not start in the Asian Open Trophy.

The starting order of junior ladies' at Asian Open:

It seems Wakaba is not in the entries anymore. Perhaps she'll show up in the local Kanto summer trophy....

Thanks for the information. Marin vs. Yuna still sounds interesting. Marin must want her redemption after last year. Go girls!

Could the results of Keiji and Hiroaki here determine who gets the TBD spot for NHK? I like both of them so I don't mind which one gets it. Hiroaki was really good during DOI but I heard his jumps were off at The Ice on Saturday. I don't know how Keiji is doing but he seems to be injured a lot.
For the ladies, I'm interested to know if Mai and Kaori have actually fixed their flutzes like the protocols from their last competitions indicate. Good for them if they have.
For the 100th time, I hope there'll be fancams!

What did he say, hamaguchi? Could you give us a short summary? :)

What interested me is as follows;
(It’s only a TV show for general viewers. Thus Nobu didn’t speak so deeply. Yet I felt he really thinks highly of their ability, so I’m glad. :))

About both:
They are just amazing despite of their ages. It's unbelievable they are still Junior high school students.

Wakaba:
She can surely get 3A. Not only 3A, but quad (he did not clear about the kind, but it is provably 4T considering the context) may be possible given her ability.
She enters jumps keeping a huge speed. This is really difficult technic. Her jump is great also in this respect.

Marin:
She is overall gifted skater.

Nobu was high.

Sorry! It was just my typo error! Correctly it's 4t! Now I made an edition!:hopelessness:

I don't think he specified which jump it will be, he just said "4 rotation jumps"?
--------

Wakaba herself didn't mention anything about quads btw. She's practicing the 3lz-3lo and 3A and she has said in other interviews a number of times that she's working on expressions but Japanese TV looooove to talk about 3A and quads.

Thank you for posting! I really trust Nobu’s comments as a professional. I’m glad to hear his views on Wakaba and Marin!

Thank you! He sure is right about Wakabas Speed.

I'll correct about it. Thanks.

And Japanese media always focuses too much on 3A (and Mao...) about wakaba, I always feel that way.. It’s really really a big frustration.. Japanese media do the similar thing with Liza (In every interview they asked her about 3A and Mao. Liza seems to be tired of the question.)
