Yuzuru Hanyu: 2015-16 Season

Yuzuru is so sensitive when it comes to people's sorrow. I can't express in words how much I respect him. These people could feel his kindness and support towards them as well as willing to listen to them so they could give vent to their pain. Sometimes we need to get our hearts melt a little to allow ourselves to live on. The worlds needs more people like him, caring for real. His own experience helped him understand them but still I'm so proud of him. I hope they won't air the crying episode if it's gonna make him uncomfortable. It broke my heart seeing him hold back his tears in front of the camera last year.

beautiful post, thank you! :)

Perhaps it's a rearrangement for requiem?? Is it possible?

That's a piece of piano, and melody is complicated. But it might be possible, though I’m not particular with something technical about music. Yuzu got into the Requiem so emotionally. That’s certain:).

This morning’s news announced that the show would go with the local choir. That was new information. They are going to disclose the content of the show little by little towards this weekend?

This is a 1 min program teaser shown on Aug 16.

This is the program shown today Aug 18 including his R&J1 skate. Translation already shared before here and here.

New info apart from collaboration with choir from Minami soma city, Fukushima; we also heard today Yuri Chinen’s comment as below.

"Usually 20 year olds are busy dealing with their own matter. I’m impressed that [Yuzuru] Hanyu cares and considers a lot about his surroundings, including areas that are affected by the earthquake" - Yuri Chinen’s comment on Yuzuru Hanyu translated by Yuzuland

The one thing we still not sure of is whether it is going to be live. If live then we expect Yuzu returning to Japan anytime now. Currently Brian and Tracy are now in Spain for the summer camp with Javi.

I saw a tweet several days ago that someone saw Yuzu at airport.

As everyone already knows on Aug 22 at 8pm there will be a broadcast of Yuzuru skating (live?) and his June 18 visit to Fukushima as part of the 24hr TV charity.

Back in June 18, Japan news had shown clips of his visit. Here is translation of those clips.

A volunteer at the Fukushima disaster-affected area recently wrote an account of Yuzu's visit. Below is the translation done by Angelica Yuzu (for original source please visit her blog). Thank you Angelica and the volunteer.

he is so selfless. he has his own demons that he deals with because of the disaster and being an ogm, but he still opens his heart for the other survivors  he is such a good listener. i hope he continues to be a blessing to others.

i can already imagine the goosebumps i would get from his performance with the choir :drama:

It might have been posted before. I recently found this, " TV documentary (in English) called "Tomorrow beyond 311" .
It was about Stephan Lambiel’s visit to Tohoku areas devastated by the disaster provably around the 2012 summer. Yuzu didn’t directly appear on the video, but it shows ice rink SENDAI after the disaster, the children there, Yoshida-san (around 4:00, Yuzu’s blade master), Nanami (around 7:00), and so on.. The children once lost their rink and could get it back again. Their faces, their attitudes… Of course, Stephan’s great personality.. Very touching.

Someone said a small figure around 1:30 may be yuzu?

The video is 28 minutes long. But the former part (around until 13:30) was about Ice Rink Sendai.

I want to introduce the video about the 311, the big underlying motivation for his skating before 24H TV ice show. Thank you.:)

I have compiled a summarised version of Yuzu's 2014 and 2015 (to date) timeline.

It looks like the duration spend in Toronto with his coaching team is only ~3 months, I'm not sure how many hours of training he gets with this and it must be intensive. I hope he has more time at his training base in the coming seasons.

Wow thank you for this video hamaguri! It seems Nanami Abe is quite fluent in English!

I think he will be the death of lot of us.... But hopefully we all meet in Yuzuru's heaven :yay: (this is the emoticon approaching most an angel lol!)

Choir? Requiem does not have a choir...maybe Hana Wa Saku?

Yuzuru will do a special iceshow with a choir from Minamisouma city (of Fukushima prefecture) for the 24h TV this year. It will be most probably aired from 20:45 this Saturday!

Maybe because Hana Wa Saku is something that can only be used for NHK? Anyways I would love to see Hana Ni Nare again!
