Tatiana Volosozhar & Maxim Trankov

She said "Yes, I agree" instead of a simple "Yes", because in a Russian ceremony we're asked "Is it your free will to get mearried..."

I love how Max first kissed Tanyas hand before he put the ring on it. And so sweet how Tanya jumped into the air when they are pronounced husband and wife. They both look wonderful, I love the colour of Maxims suit and Tanyas dress is breathtaking! I am so happy for them and hope they will never forget this special day.

As some of you must have seen, there was some heated discussion about Tanya’s dress on the FSU thread – if any of you read that. I must say I was a bit shocked when I saw the dress – it is certainly BOLD and quite sexy! But she looked incredible. I think Tanya knows what suits her. And I was so glad Max’s suit was blue, not black. His“carpet slippers” were quite distinguished – a new look for him. But there were a number of surprises in this carefully-planned wedding:
• I thought the wedding itself would be in a church. Instead it was on the roof garden of the Ritz-Carlton.
• I thought the marriage would be performed by a Russian Orthodox priest in full regalia. Instead it was a woman magistrate from the city or state.
• I thought her dress would be lovely but I didn’t expect her to knock our socks off! And I didn’t expect the skirt to be removable!! (Tanya certainly found the time to think every little detail through… A little “underdress” so that she could do that dance number with Max.)
• I thought Max would be his usual talkative self, kind of taking the spotlight. Although he spoke for them a few times, it was Tanya who was ebullient, flamboyant and absolutely over-the-moon with joy! She was the star. He seemed thoughtful, almost contemplative and a bit stunned.
• I expected Dexter, with a nice blue ribbon, might follow after Tanya and her father. But I guess Dexter was home watching the event on his doggie-smart phone.

How sweetly Tanya and Maxim danced with their respective parents. Maxim’s mother looked a little pensive – sorry perhaps that Max’s father was not there to see his son’s happiness. That was a touching moment.

Her dress was amazing. No matter what people may say about it, it's obviously a matter of taste and I personally LOVE IT. She was glowing and it suited her figure very well.

I too noticed that Maxim wasn't his usual- self. He seemed a bit shocked or excited. As if he didn't want to speak or he might cry. You can see in the begining of this video how emotional he got when he walked down the carpet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hI13r3A_VU  Tatiana was almost crying before they kissed.

The best parts for me:

- The bridesmaids' dresses.. absolutely beautiful.
- Max's shoes.
- STEPHAAAAAAN.

There are some miserable souls on that site. It is amazing to me how much time is spent to tell all and sundry that someone not only did not like something, but passionately hated it. Good taste (as that is obviously the prevailing theme) used to forbid it when I was growing up, but I suppose it has been replaced by the so called license for "free speech". Still, I wonder, who is it that benefits from it in the end. The object of the comments could not possibly benefit from such comments, that is a given. At the most, hopefully he/she will dismiss it as utter rubbish. But what could possibly be the benefit for the unhappy originator of the comments? He/she (and sadly, it is most often she) has spent an inordinate amount of time contemplating something she did not like, no, positively hated in fact, and then spent some more time on writing about it, and possibly reading how other people did not like it either. Doesn't one feel miserable dwelling on things they don't like? I would have thought one's acidity would hit the roof from that. There are many, many threads there that I don't ever go into. May be it is just me, but I never once felt the need to go there and tell everyone how much I hated this or that. Instead of being displeased, I prefer to go on youtube and look at Tania and Max's skating and wedding videos and feel pleased.

Was just reading that board for the first time. WoW, they do go over the top there. It's not that deep folks, it's a dress.

Just got caught up! Looks like a lovely wedding and everyone seemed happy. I don't see the drama about Tanya's dress... It was obviously an homage to figure skating outfits and nothing tacky about it.

The media presence was a bit much though. Their PR agent is working hard.

There is always negative people around... I personally loved the WHOLE wedding...her dress was lovely and classy, just her. Max looked as handsome as usual xD And Stephan was adorable as the ring bearer.

Another video :)

I made a little video of all their backstage videos and instagram photos over the years to celebrate them getting married! I used this forum's content extensively when making it so I just wanted to say thank you to all you guys and your work over the years as such great fans of them finding all these lovely memories and moments of them, as well as the translations for us non-russian speakers! (I also included some Lambiel at points, how could I leave out the adorable ringbearer after all! :yay:) I hope you all like it

Yes, thanks so much –what a lot of work! Some of the footage I had never seen and some bits are just hilarious. Tanya and Max have had so much success and still, they seem unaffected and natural. Certainly, that’s why we admire them so much.

Wow!! Thank you so much for this amazing video aceiel!! I love this funny moments... I can not understand how there exist people who say that there isn't chemistry between them.... they are make for each other!

Absolutely!
V and T have been accused of lack of chemistry? Hard to comprehend. I've never seen more intense chemistry between two people. Much as I loved Gordeeva and Grinkov, I think even V and T exceed their communication. The only other skaters who communicate as powerfully (to my mind) are Cizeron and Papadakis (ice dancers) and their relationship is built perhaps on dramatic technique and choreography. V and T are two souls joined together.

Thank you so much you guys, im so glad you enjoyed! :)
Definitely, I have no idea why that accusation is thrown around- when I read it I looked around and could barely find any skaters that had the same chemistry they did? They're absolutely striking, I could see it from the very first program I watched of theirs

You know, there is a lot of people ready to speak s** about them...
In my opinion, I haven't already seen a couple like them, they skate like if they were one, love them!

I was wondering about that actually, cause Nina Mozer was there but I couldnt see him either. You never know really, he might have had another important obligation... or something like that. (Probably best we dont start assuming things though- dont want to turn into an FSU-esque thread now do we!)
