Nina: "Quite easy. Though I keep the other pair's experience in my mind and remember it can cause problems for a while. When Tanya and Maksim first started skating together they tried it. At the beginning of last year they were even able to land it decently. But it took 5 years. We don't have these 5 years with Ksenia and Fedor. But I think we'll make it anyway."

I was also puzzled by this :think: Maybe, there was some mistake from the journalist?
It's not strange though. I think they have tried the quad and that's why he thinks it's not worth the risk. I remember that Tanya wanted to do the quad.

Saw some of the photos from this article being liked by a friend on Facebook, but it never twigged with me what they were!
Absolutely LOVED the photo of Nastya Zadorozhnaya skating over the drinks.
Come on, how many of you have tried that game? (Or are going to now?) And how successful was it?
If I were Nastya, I don't think I would have been smiling quite that much - I'd have been terrified of spilling them and of making a mess of the ice! Oh, and terrified of having to do whatever the forfeit was!
And how cute does Olga Potylitsina look with her drink in the background of the same photo?!
So, does anybody know who these 2 girls I have mentioned are? Are they skaters as well, or personal friends of Tatiana's? (All I have been able to establish is that they are not the people that come up when you do a Google search for those names!)
And, after seeing the photo of Adelina Sotnikova playing the game, I cannot get over how much older she looks since the last time I saw her (i.e. not long after Sochi)! She doesn't look like a teenager any more - she looks more like a 22 or 23 year old! :shocked:
(Is it just me, or does Adelina also look very like the bride-to-be in this photo...?)
All in all, it looked like a fun time!

Nastya Zadorozhnaya is an actress and a friend of Tanya (I don't know as for now but when VT went to Cube for vacation, her boyfriend was former pair skater Slavnov - VT skated with him in Russia after OWG ). She is the one who introduced VT to Sheksheev, their PR-agent.
Olga Potylitsina is also an athlet, but in skeleton (olimpian for Russia at Sochi). She studied together with Maxim at university.

That was the same as what Google said. But, to me, the photos that Google had of them in their image search didn't look like the girls in the hen party photos.
In short, I thought the girls in the hen party photos looked a lot younger than the ones in the Google photos!
But, now that you have told me about how they are connected to Tatiana and Maxim, it makes sense that it is the actress and the skeleton woman.
So, it seems like the photos Google have in their image search just aren't good photos of them, then!

I was reading some v/t threads on the FSU recently and I noticed people really seem to hate the JCS program for some reason, how come? I loved it, It was dramatic and (to my admittedly untrained eye) their elements were fun to watch!
(Although I will note on the side that Violin Muse is my favourite long program by far
