I remember an instagram post some time ago when she was trying to come up with an interesting hair style; https://instagram.com/p/6HsgvGqBgw/?taken-by=blackswanei. She alluded to flowers.

The post was not about a hairstyle with flowers, though. She was speaking about favorite flowers from her beloved (as seen in the photo), and obviously it was just a coincidence that he had gifted her with those flowers right then. So I am not sure if it was an allusion. Which doesn't mean that there won't be flowers in her 'Frida' FD hairstyle, of course.

About his son's transfer to Ice Dance:

So when we were offered to pair Ivan with Lena Ilinykh, we immediately agreed. We realized that he could hardly be so lucky for the second time - getting such a luxurious dancing partner for a boy who does not know how to approach a girl, not to mention how to touch her. Even then it was cleat that Ilinykh is a fabulous partner, though she was ten years old.
During the first three months, while I was working with the kids, Lena's mother, I know, felt strongly hurt that I was very little engaged in her daughter's training. I tried hard to train Vanka (Ivan Bukin) as a "partner". To make him skate in a pair and do elements and not to stand ramrod straight blushing.
Even now I'm grateful for the fact that Lena and Vanya were trained by Irina Zhuk and Sasha Svinin and they made a couple of them in a year.

- Why did the guys part?
Lena' mother constantly felt that the coaches paid very little attention to this pair. In fact it was normal, Ira and Sasha were preparing Yana Khokhlova and Sergei Novitsky for the Olympics in Turino, they put all their efforts into this pair and didn't have time for juniors. Nevertheless Liliya offered to change the coaches, I mean that Lena and Vanya left together. We refused. To be honest I didn't see more preferable options. And I've always liked Zhuk and Svinin's work.

About Andrei Bukin's non-interference into his son's career:

As a partner I can explain you what a girl's extra 200 grams mean. This is the weight that is actually felt on the ice and actually obstructs the work. Too subtle feelings, a complex coordination. It's only possible to make an element stable if the weight of both skaters is stable as well. It's especially crucial if the (male) partner isn't very large. You can talk about the training progress whatever you want but this progress will not be really noticeable if a dancer has to work with a "big" body. When before a lift you can already read in his face how difficult it is.

MK's Winter, I've come to realize this is the norm in some Russian circles, its like a special disease. I find it strange though that all of this comes on the heels of the positive reviews for I/Z slowly trickling out of Russia from different sources, first TAT, Karp. and EV herself. Why is a private conflict between Bukin Sr. and Lena's mother coming to the light now? These experts ultimately do their teams a disservice by their lack of professionalism. The interview is quite revealing though. It appears to me with few exception the coaches remaining in Russia in ice dance are quite incompetent. If Bukin Jr's skills were so limited why put him with Lena in the first place? Did they expect her to stand in place while Bukin Sr. trained his son? Why was it so hard to find a well rounded male partner for Lena all these years till Ruslan?

Three funny things from Bukin's interview:
- S/B are the best dance team in Russia now, he seriously think they had a chance for a medal at Worlds, such a shame that Alexandra made a mistake!!!
- Bestimianova was right calling Elena 'fat', because 200 gramms of weight is too critical for a 'small' partner;
- all teams except P/C are not interesting (at least not as interesting as S/B ), their time's gone!!!!

I do not understand why they are bashing so much I/Z. IMO the real threat is S/K. The FED probably prefers a team of B/S, I/Z and S/K and after last season S/K seem to be the weak link.

I am so curious to see how S/K look right now. If last season was just a fluke and seemed bad bc I/Z were doing so well, or if they actually suck together.
