2015-16 Russian Test skates

Yeah it is one of my fav little known gems... this is a much better recording

I think Anna might able to do a good job of it actually, those long elegant limbs try to go for mature graceful skating.

I didn't know this music before. It's really beautiful. Meanwhile Radionova's music choice:

SP Je t'aime (vocals)
LP Titanic (Celine Dion)

What on earth were they thinking?! :rolleye:

Did they even practice then? Or are they just there to chill out and size up the competition?

Just read on another forum that Viktoria practiced solo all week while Nikita managed 2 sessions. Apparently he is injured.

I can't say I like the choices. Both songs are too similar and dramatic, plus the titanic song is over played. And Yulia used Je taime for several years as her exhibition using vocals so that song feels well used as well.

Oh no, so why bother coming? His injury must be serious as even Sergei Mosgov performed last year with a knee injury. Albeit not everyone can do that and they only did the SD IIRC.

Maybe they wanted to be there at least to show that they WANT to? Or perhaps the injury is very recent.

You actually credit Morozov with THINKING? That's a streeeeeetchhhhhh in my book.:disapp::rolleye:

Maybe they thought that it would get better and it got worse instead? Anyway, those two shouldn't skate in front of an audience if they're not 100% fit because they haven't got any past successes together to speak for them.

Nikita only managed 2 sessions according to Tiffany Z.'s mom. Someone on the Russian forums said it was his knee, but info not confirmed. Kovtun is also out due to injury and Gachinsky is not listed in the starting lineup.

Time for Voronov to shine!

I am glad they seem to be having at least a bit of fun together:)

Oh okay. That makes sense to me at least then.

Once in a while it's hard for me not to think something might be karma.

I wouldn't be that harsh on them. I just don't think we realize just how difficult and how long it takes for a team to really gel. Also Vik and Nik were going for spectacular lifts that typically more experienced couples try. C/B have taken five seasons to get to the point they're at today and I'm sure they are no slouches. I have a gut feeling that I/Z have weathered their own traumas we just weren't made privy to them. What I/Z managed to do with their SD was atypical.

When do the clips become available online for viewing?

We don't know. Hoping fans who are there, or the FED, will post them ASAP on youtube. The man who usually does that is not there. He's following the juniors in Austria.

Who released the clips of Julia and Kovtun? Maybe that person will also post vids of the open test skates?
