I know he's no in the test skate but if you haven't seen Dmitri Aliev YOU HAVE TO HE IS THE ONLY HOPE FOR RUSSIAN MENS SKATING

Petrov is good too, but Aliev is really component Russian guy and i enjoyed his skating. He reminds me little bit of Yagudin.

Liza's music actually makes me laugh kind of, there's a famous dating show in China that's my guilty pleasure, it's like reality television, when the man fails to get a date their play Liza's music as the outro music when they leave, I can't help but feel a bit amused even though it's meant to be dramatic, I give up on her dresses and I can only hope for something nicer in the EX

Yulia's SP looks like it has potential, the music has been playing in my head all day, I like the choreographic point where her 3-3 is timed to the lyrics of the music, it's a nice touch

Kidding aside, I like this program. Warriors is one of my favorite tracks from LotD. I hope they pick up a little speed and polish as the season goes on. I want to see them at Worlds!

When Stolbova/Klimov withdrew from Worlds' to work on next (now this) season's programs and more difficult elements, people resorted to all kinds of theories to explain the peculiarity. One being, of course, that Ksenia must be pregnant.

Oh god, is this the "Tessa has a secret baby" of the new quad? No, they can't have a fanbase that crazy yet.

I know, Yulia was walking and posing a lot at the step seq, last season I think her SS at R&J was very good.

I agree on the step sequences. Watching all of them I was saying to myself "I'm pretty sure they can all move faster than this." Especially Evgenia she was moving so slow or seemed to at least. I am wondering if it's only because youtube has allowed high fps videos to be shown and beforehand they all just seemed like a blur on the screen.

IJS requires so many steps to get a level 4 they all end up being meandering, backtracking, stuttering, dragging anchors in the program rather than the showstoppers they used to be. :disapp: I'm sure more speed will come as the skaters get more familiar with the steps. Yulia was stopping a lot, but she did say she wasn't comfortable with the more energetic part of her program.

I LOVED Liza, and I think this darkish style is what suits her the most apart from the "ethnic" (Latino/Arabian).
Then I'm probably the only one who didn't love Julia: this type of music/choreo just doesn't seem natural for her, everything feels forced, she's clearly a lot more comfortable with serious/dramatic music. Good that she's trying something different, though.

I liked Bobrova/Soloviev a lot more than Ilynikh/Zhiganshin, their program was definitely more complex, mature and skated with sophistication and control

Overall I was quite satisfied with what I saw: Team Russia seems to be in a good pre-season shape. A little worried about Adelina: she seems to be still in "dancing with the stars mood" and her flip landing was just hopeless. If she does have back injury that's quite unfortunate and not just because certain people would be sarcastic: "we told you she would never compete again!" She just cannot miss another season if she is serious about the comeback.

Loved Yulia. If she overcame her last season ghosts she should be in any Russian team - she is the most precious gem Russian FS has.

And Piteev did show a lot of skin

So far, from dancing pairs most of all were pleasant.... Volosozhar/Trankov wow! Such except them nobody can make - I simply felt PCS . With interest I wait for them FP)

I actually thought that Sotnikova looked great out there and it is not like her flip has ever been that consistent anyway.. I wonder which combo she is meant to do though?I still think that she could score very well if she "only" attempted a 3T/3T...

Also very happy to see Julia again! She looked thrilled to be out there ;-)
I do wonder if she will be able to keep it together in the LP's this season as it seemed that was the issue last year..

Radionova and the others are not really my cup of tea but cannot deny that they are fierce competitors and all programs looked good to me. I am not expecting it to be a walk in the park for Liza this season and not even sure if it is going to be easy for her to win gold at her GP's without the 3A in her arsenal. But it all comes down to consistency so let's see what these ladies will bring this season

Liza's costume is gorgeous...the music suits her very well. Jumps as flawless as ever...every thing else is about the same level though :/ I thought Anna's costume was going to kill her in that one spin...I don't like it. The music is a bit boring but better than last years. I am somewhat confused by Elena's program...is Je T'aime angry music? I feel like she seemed angry up until the end of the program. Her landings always freak me out a little. Yulia was surprising. Evgenia...I can't even remember the program at all but I remember thinking she did well...hmmm.

I think Lizas dress needs to be altered. It makes her look square and big and she is really tiny. She should be accentuating her athletic body , not hiding it under too much material. Jumps look easy and music is powerful! Yulia is wonderful and I love her music!
