Me too. Love both programs, totally different and I think Frida is a wonder. So moving and beautiful. Loved everything about it. The music choice, the editing, the arm movements, the choreo. The lifts are done soooo well. Quick, effortless and hitting the music. She has improved on the spins also, one of the elements I didn't like last season. It's early but you can already see. There is still work to be done but I'm excited for them. They are creating their own style. I love that.

'Rental' - in Russian it's 'Прокат'. Same as toeloop, the word with double meaning. Main version is 'rental' (from 'to rent' - 'сдавать в прокат'), slang version is 'skate' or 'performance' (from 'to skate' - 'кататься на коньках'). Since the second version of the word is slang (on Russian), auto-translators translate the word "прокат" as 'rental' (by its main meaning). For example: 'Yulia had a clean skate (or performance)' (auto-translators will translate this 'Yulia had a clean rental').

That's just what google translate spits out and nobody realizes it doesn't make sense in the context. Kind of like when people accused a writer of lying or being clueless when a google translate article called Fedorova and Miroshkin "prizeri" of the World Juniors because google translated the word to winners, when it actually means medallists.

I don't seem to agree with the majority about Y/M, I think they killed the LP too and that they are going to totally explode onto the senior scene. I really underestimated them coming into this, they are ready. sure, yes, music cuts could be better, but it's not going to matter.

I/Z impressed me less than I hoped. I hope I will like it more once it's polished.

I swear on all things holy that while watching the 2003 Sasha Cohen FS at WC last night, the one where she fell out of a camel spin, the announcer who was German kept saying "triple cherry flip". What the fudge is cherry flip in German
