Thank you for sharing this video. I am so very proud of them! I am so glad that they had no falls. They will only keep improving as the season goes on. It's not a bad start:)
 
white costume was a bit distracting for me biut just b/c I expected them to both be colourful ))))
amazing prog!!!!
 
I actually love the costumes (and the program, of course), but I agree maybe a little too "plain" for Max. Lol I feel like this is great for them and will only grow in performance and energy throughout the season. That 3FTh is going to give me a heart attack every time. :p And the new lift positions!

oh, the flip! I know what you mean.
I just wish they could do SBS 3T, insead of 3S.. it's more points and it's also their best SBS jumps.

Men's clothing tends to be much plainer. And generally more muted colours as well - though I once saw a fellow in bright purple shalwar-kameez.... (baggy trousers-tunic)

As a proud "Bearded Max" fan, I must say that his beard was looking quite excellent with his costume. He should keep it!

I really like the new program, but...how do I explain?
I know it's just a test skate, but it seemed a bit offbeat(?) with the music?
I think it might just be me, the music wasn't crystal clear so I'm probably just imagining stuff. I also wasn't wearing my glasses! Haha 😂

Maybe they were still getting used to the choreo. I think it just needed more energy and facial expression. Lol I was also expecting more colorful costumes. :biggrin:
 
I agree I thought the colour schemes werent their best, but you never know, the outfits could definitely change at some point if they wanted- just look at the evolution of Tatiana's swan costume over the course of 2011-2012 :)
 
I love it! They are so fast with great flow. I agree the costumes will evolve, they almost always do. It's just so great to see them skating competitive programs again!
 
I Love Volosozhar\Trankov But...I Am Really Disappointed With This Seasons Programmes...I Like Tatiana Costume In The Short Programme Though. I Find Stolbova\Klimov's Programme's More Enjoyable. (TheyAreMyFave's.)

I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised with the free skate. I was preparing mysel to not like it but I like it! Quite dramatic. Those lifts! :jaw: The best! I think they're just still getting into the season/choreography. They just need to skate a little faster in some places (maybe it's the video though) and it'll be great! Lovely choreographic moment and transitions! Tatiana is just great. The flip is going to scare me. Lol

Ikr! Certain points were a little reminicent of their Carmina Burana SP- I think as the season goes on they'll build up the power and expression they usually have. I enjoyed it very much, and genuinely cannot wait to see it develop! (The costumes are flawless as well oh my)
To be honest the only thing I found sliiightly missing from it is that they usually weave some sort of small narrative in with their FS (i.e. Romeo and Juliet, Odette being taken over by the back swan, a kind of tragic fantasy theme of two lovers with Violin Muse, and the general story of JCS). Even though I got the impression of Dracula and Nina I just felt it needed a little more? I understand trying to include that along with the large amounts of mandatory elements and preperation time for them must be incredibly difficult, so I hardly blame them if they choose not to this time! :laugh: Regardless even if they dont, it was still fantastic by itself and might even become one of my favourite FS of theirs... :biggrin:
 
I really liked both of the new programs. There are so many new moves and they also changed the layout of the elements. I think this also needs some courage to change everything, when you know it works so well the "old way". So I appreciate a lot that they are really trying something new. And there is still a lot of room to improve, we are not at the end of the journey, we are just at the beginning! So I look really forward to the development throughout the season. Maybe they will get more into the characters when they gain more security with all the new elements.
But I think it was really a very good start for them!:cheer:
