Judge one even dared to give her fives. I don't know what the judges are on but that was just ridiculous. And I hope she changes the dress. She gets knocked because of her so called "immaturity" and this makes her look even younger.

That is so ridiculous. I don't know what are the judges watching tbh. I haven't seen her LP yet but she is one of the most mature skaters I've seen.

I like this LP. I like the music and the choreography very much. Loved that closure.
She obviously needs more work on this one because she seemed a bit contrived and focused on skating clean rather than let it go, while she is in full control in her SP. That's natural since it's still very early in the season but overall she has done a great job. Brava.

I agree wth you. Among Japanese fans, it is also said that her LP dress should be more fluffy and look light, maybe with chiffon, like the pink costume of Mao's "Nocturne" in 2006-07, or Marin's SP this season. It would match with the piano music more.

I have thought that Marin's SP costume was inspired by Mao's Nocturne one. I really love the costumes. :yes:

Oh! and the ending pose of her LP pretty much reminds me of Mao’s Liebestraum and even Yuzu’s Requiem.

finally had a chance to comment, she is as awesome as ever!! and 56 PCS? wow
i feel like she performed it better at The Ice though,maybe its the lighting and the costume (ohh Satoko, why did you change your costume, it was perfect ) but i think show version was magical and felt more fluid but i am sure we will see even better ones during the season, i cant wait!! and her english is so cute and she speaks so silenly as usual haha
btw i dont like the part where she does "Akiko pose" which Nobu loves to mimic

Congratulations for the gold "Tiny Queen", Her programs are the best so far I have seen yet, PCS were ridiculously low and I hope the only reason is the start of a season, yeah, and I loved her previous costume more. Ganbatte Satton!

It is kind of a caressing form of Satoko, like Akiko-Akko, Calling her Satton became more common, after Hanyu cheered for her, shouting "Ganbatte Satton" before her FS at WTT .

She seems to have a black dress for the SP too. Or it could be a practice dress.

Tiny Queen she started her season pretty good with 2 competitions, hopefully she will continue to be consistent

just a little complaint though , i think it was mistake changing the placement of layback spin with her 2 direction combo spin, her layback is faster and it was better suited faster music, now it doesnt quite match the music for me

Her performance today was excellent, but I think she should stick with the old jumping layout. Two 2a-3ts are much more secure and she gets good goe on them. This new layout with the 3lz-3t and 3lz-2t-2lo is risky (she can get more urs and less goe) and the BV is the same.

Whilst Satoko is not the best at any particular thing (jumps, spins), imo, she's a complete package in that she's a great competitor. This will carry her through well in her career especially at big events like Worlds and Olympics. I can see she's going to be tough as nails.

Whilst Satoko is not the best at any particular thing (jumps, spins), imo, she's a complete package in that she's a great competitor.

I think her spins are pretty good. Very nice positions and variations and she can spin counter clockwise and clockwise. And while her jumps don't have elevation, she has a nice posture in the air and can rotate pretty fast.

I agree, though, that she's a complete package, she always has beautiful programs and she keeps improving. Her consistency is another thing to admire.

lovely picture, back of her dress is so pretty her dress is pretty overall but my problem with her dress is color is too bright and skirt is too fluffy for her music
