I just want to see Mao's new LP and of course, all of their performances. :)
 
OK, I was too nice too soon. I didn't say she should get 72 while Mao should get 69. I was talking about Sochi, where her lowest score was 70.80 (Sotnikova). I am a huge Mao fan. I don't want to be confused as otherwise. I was saying that Sotnikova's starting mark is around 72 for a perfect routine, which didn't occur tonight. I've seen no one. But I am sure based on the reviews, Mao is the best. My point is don't discount Sotnikova simply due to the lack of triples. That's all. I love you all :)

I don't disagree on the quality. Just wasn't expecting all of the overly dramatic vocals. It's very.....front and center ;)
 
I love how only Ashley Wagner is able to maintain her delusion that she is a late bloomer, diss all the skaters younger than her, and call Mao the old lady all in less than 3 minutes....:rolleye:

Gracie was bringing up Michelle Kwan, how she was one skater you could always count on to perform.
 
I hope someone's watching the fluff that can kindly translate Liza's & Adelina's words? If not, hopefully it will get uploaded to youtube later on..

eta: oh,they didn't interview Ade like they did with Liza, oops..

All I said is that is about where she starts, with a perfect routine, based on both past performances, and what I've also seen. She obviously wasn't perfect. Your guess is as good as mine as to what she earned tonight. But it doesn't seem that far off to get 66-67.

Results from WC2013, ranked 9th below Liza, where her PCS is 60, 3 points higher than Liza, while TES 7 points less than Liza.

Pre Sochi inflation at European championship 2013, massive 9 points hike to her previous best PCS, 1.6 PCS higher, 9.72 TES lower than Julia.

At best I'd give Adelina around 62 for improving expressions from 2 years ago if the marks are given organically rather than post Sochi effect. With big mistakes in TES, she should drop to about 60 max (her previous best). Liza's PCS I'd mark around 63 max, or 61 with mistakes since her TES has always been higher and she is the reigning WC. With a great program, it can up 1-3 points.
