2015 Japan Open

The one in the clip is 2lutz, but as I wrote earlier, the fluff that's now being shown showed Mao's run through earlier today, and in it, she really held onto an outside edge on her triple-lutz.

As far as Liza's FS jump layout is concerned (3a fall, 3lz2t2lp, 3f, 3t2t and 2a rippon), I think her scores are quite decent and she did a wonderful job!

Wait, Liza did a 2A rippon? This is new for me. Can't wait for the clip.

Second fall was loss of concentration, so basically she only needs to work on the 3A and turn the 3t-2t into a 3-3. She has 4 weeks to do that. Looking good.

Did Satoko just practice a double clockwise jump off-ice?

well, she used to jump clockwise then her coach changed it  i guess thats why she can easily rotate on both directions during her spins
btw congratz to Japanese ladies  i wish satoko didnt wear her new LP dress, her show one was so much better  btwi i dont see any reason why world judges wouldnt give satoko 134 when she is clean, she is still young and has a many years (hopefully) to improve her jump technique ;)

So does it mean that Ashley should have got 58-59 at best? Gracie - 60-61 at best?

I recommend you check out the WC 2013 vs 14/15 protocals on relative scoring, and their national championship scoring to see federation pecking order. Gracie used to get similar PCS to Adelina back then around 60, and Ashley was 3 points better in PCS than Gracie and Adelina. Of course this was before the US Nationals fall out, and then Ashley has been steadily trying to regain her former PCS since then. Adelina is not the ONLY one that has improved over the years, nor do I believe she has better programs than the US ladies.

That is why I think Mao's PCS is the only one that can be trusted right now, however favourably marked she may get skate at home, it is going to be less inflated than everyone else who benefitted from post Sochi inflation the year she did not take part.

I knew she used to jump CW, but wasn't sure if she still practices that way sometimes. Really cool if she does  I can't do a single jump CW without feeling like I'm gonna topple over

tbh, i'm not worried about her jumps at all but her lack of SS
