No idea. At the Igora exhibition, the first showcase of his SP in July, the lady who recorded the video said on FSO that Mishin explained that Sasha had an injury and would not be jumping. So he did the SP run-through without jumps. After that Sasha posted two pics of a government medical centre in St Petersburg and geotagged himself there.

Edit:
He did attend both summer camps a few weeks later though, so it probably wasn't too serious. But at the first camp in Erzurum Turkey, he had altitude sickness.

Okay, not very serious if he pretty much skated the whole time.

(I mean every injury does affect the performance and everything but this is coming from a peson who has had two stress fractures on the lower back before)

Ouch! You're okay now?

Okay, I've concluded that I actually like the colour of the shirt but I wish the design was different.

Oh dear… that was so so sad
In so many ways, in so many ways.

I'm literally speechless. Even when he was sick and under a lot more pressure at JWs, it was better than this.

Edit:
Strange thing is that he nailed all his jumps in the warm-up. But then again Liza landed a 3A in the warm-up too. Sigh.

he seems to be experiencing some growth issues for now, his lower body has gotten fuller and might be tilting the axis in his jumps, I think he has some chances of getting through this, he has a bit better skating skills than Gachinski and better technique than Lipnitskaya

In a senior B? He had more pressure at JWs for sure. Or even at Nats.

I also don't think it's about the nerves, he can handle the pressure better that.
If he has had some issues with the program when training his confidence may not be the best… but no one knows really.

Very rough skate. No, I can't believe it's nerves or pressure either. Weird day for Team Mishin, to be sure...

The choreography is different from the one skated at Samara which was in turn different from the one at the test skate. But yeah, like you said we'll never know.

If it was a planned quad, then I take back my words re him not being nervous - he may have been a shivering wreck of nerves for all I know! Anyone have any idea of what it could have been intended to be - if not a quad?
