Elizaveta Tuktamysheva

It claims that: This video contains content from SME, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.

I don't see how that can actually be true, but oh well.

Thank you SO MUCH for the generous offer to transcribe. I'd Hola it but youtube has figured out how to block the hold program :(

SME? So lame, there was just a few seconds of background music coming from the arena, almost impossible to hear what song it is.

Anyway...

Q: Can you tell me how Elizaveta is feeling, how she is training now for this competition?
A: Going back to the history, last year she competed 14 times and 12 of the competitions she won, 2 finished second. And I don't know why but this year, in autumn, in the beginning of the season, her skating was going very hard. I don't know why. Somebody told me that it's really normal, happened very often after a fantastic very successful season, it's going to be down. And maybe something changed physiologically, in her organism, she started to get in condition very slow and very hard. This is all I can comment concerning her coming season.

Q: Today in practice she landed 2 3As, the 3A looks consistent, it's strong here would you agree?
A: Before the competition I don't like to do nothing concerning her jumps in the competition because it's very superstitious but basically right now she may be one of the skaters who will jump 3A really cleanly.

Q: This is her first season as a World Champion, does that make it difficult for you as a coach to handle the pressure, the expectation that comes with that?
A: I'd like to tell you that nothing changed in her mentality, she did not change even one penny. But I suppose that a World gold medal is quite heavy, maybe sometimes she will feel the weight of this medal and remember when Alexei Urmanov won Olympic games, if you remember this name, next season he finished 4th at European Championships even when the level of struggle was not too high.

Mishin also said some very complimentary things about Canadian skating, how he respects the traditions of the Canadian skating federation and how many great skaters they've had over the years.
