oh that was actually good practice  and it keeps my google-skills alive

I think Jrocker have some sort of fountain of youth secrets....so many of their leads NEVER age. Hyde, Gackt, Mana, Miyavi
I'm like 99% sure that they just have something in the water over there. I'm still convinced that "onsen" is Japanese for "magic water that enhances the genetic capability to fight of the aging process of average human beings". Onsen is just way shorter :roll9:

I wish all the kindness and generosity shown by Yuzuru throughout his life can be converted to health, peace and happiness for him and his family.
This year it begins to be filled with love, health, peace and unity for all who move the world Yuzuru.
And thank you to all Yuzu fans always receive well as the new members of this group.
Today started my eve of New Year super good; Yuzuru watching on television, I delayed a little apreparação supper, but worth it ..

L'arc-en-ciel fangirl here. though i'm not as hardcore as before, im still listening to their songs once in a while remind me of the time when i stalked them at airport and hotel...those were the days....

lol thanks to yuzu for bringing j-rock nostalgia inside me

Oh Happy New Year to everyone here!

Lol, so am I. I actually had a cd of theirs in my car yesterday. (wrong side of the world, though, and learned about them too late to have been an actual fangirl. )

Happy new year!!

Still one hour to the new year here in Edmonton but, as I'm heading out for the fireworks :yahoo: I'm sending my best wishes to all fans here for the new year. I hope you days as prosperous as Spring rain, nights as peaceful as Summer moonlight, hours as colourful as Fall leaves and seconds as pure as Winter snow :).

Happy New Year (year of the monkey) everyone! Although I don't post often, I'm reading this positive, fun, and informative thread almost daily to find out the latest about my favorite skater Yuzu. Guess we're never too old for fan-girling  ! Thank you everyone for all your contributions and I'll try to post more often in 2016.

All my family members try to get back to Japan once a year---husband and I are working in the UK, daughter in the US, and son in Japan---during New Year. I "forced" everyone to watch the whole Kohaku last night while we ate lucky soba with tempura; this was the first time in years, since we too had lost interest in this show and only watched snippets in the past. Think having Yuzu (very handsome indeed ) probably increased their viewer ratings a lot! The X-Japan segment was a little sad to me because only 2 members remained.

Looking forward to another year of Yuzu-fandom and interacting with you guys in this thread. Been a Yuzu fan since I saw him in Worlds (Nice) and lucky enough to go to Barcelona for the 2 GPFs, since I lived relatively close, and lucky enough to have Eurosport coverage of skating. Hope to meet some of you someday---anyone going to Worlds? I'll be there for all the mens' segments and practices and the other FS, but will probably spend some time touring around Boston, which has lots of interesting things to do and my husband would become saturated with skating ;).

Simply unforgettable by Tracy Wilson

While those numbers were going up on the board, the final skater Yuzuru Hanyu was circling and awaiting his turn. Nobody knew what it would take to beat Javier's score better than Yuzuru. He had been error free and brilliant just two weeks earlier at the Grand Prix in Japan where he became the first skater ever to break 200. In fact he had set records in both the short and free.

Here in Spain, he had been perfect and record breaking in the short program. That he could be brilliant wasn't the question, but rather could he be that consistent and do it again? He didn't mince words with his answer. His performance to a Japanese piece called Seimei was sensational. His program was packed technically with three explosive and precise quads, the third one executed after halfway in combination with a triple toe.

He was unflappable and on fire. With his fluid and lithe physique he handled all aspects of his program with such ease and grace that one could just sit back and be amazed, but nobody did, sit back. Rather they sat on the edge of their seats almost in disbelief but more in delight at what they were witnessing again from Yuzuru. The judges responded in kind with scores that once again are written at the top of the record books.

It was an evening of rising up and delivering and of back to the wall one upmanship.

The kind of night one never forgets and moving forward the night that will be the new measure of men's skating.

Welcome Ladysci!! its never too late to post! :hap10:
Happy new year everyone!! hopefully it will be the most awesome of our lives yet, thank you all for being awesome! :yahoo::hb: :cheer::thank:

Yuzuru sang along to a vocaloid? *grins*
My knowledge of vocaloids doesn't stretch much further than Hatsune Miku, but I am happy to expand that knowledge. Who says following a figure skater cannot be educational? :agree:
Happy New Year to all, my resolutionis to enjoy the figure skating as much as in 2015. If Yuzuru is at least half as good as in 2015, that shouldn't be a problem!

Happy New Year!!! May this year bring happiness to everyone, good health and prosperity!!

Happy New Year !! How exciting to know that Yuzu's parents and his sister were also at the KOHAKU SHOW, watching the same show together! Good job NHK invited Yuzu's family to the show!

There's ice on his head from this pic. http://this.kiji.is/53332378415333380?c=39550187727945729&s=t

An article with photos:http://www.daily.co.jp/newsflash/general/2015/12/26/0008677370.shtml
Brian said "Yuzu is fine." I feel really scared.

After the collision, they both checked each other to see if they were ok, shook hands and continued to train, Yuzu was able to land his 4S in the run-through etc. afterwards.
I just hope they can both concentrate well at the actual competition and not let any of this affect them.

It seems Yuzuru and Dice are OK. The article says their skating speed was not fast when they collided. What a relief

His recovery from 4S is really quick and great, least breaking the flow of the program

Just in case anyone here wants to see there's a gif on this blog of the collision with Dice. Sharing just in case anyone is in doubt that it wasn't a big deal. Both got up very quickly!

Has it been posted? This news clip focuses on their conversation in K&C (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3jfhg3_151225-全日本-sp結果news-2_sport around 3:00~. your dictation was nice!). They had longer K&C than usual, and they talked much, so we have the chance to see it. It’s always inspiring seeing their KC. Brian really understands yuzu’s character and gave him thoughtful and positive advice. Yuzu has a truly wonderful coach… Of course, yuzu analized his mental calmly without getting too angry with himself like before..Of course, he's still hard on himself.

Nice smile! So good to see all top 3 men smiling like this!

This video contain a no cut FS and a little bit of backstage (Shoma, Kozuka, and Mura sitting side by side watching Hanyu-san's performance) and also right after FS K&C where he said "we can do the hard work after this..." and Brian said "this is not a bad thing, you can't be that great all the time." The interviewer also asked him about 4lo and the chance of doing it this season, he said he does want to do it , but it depends on how the practice goes from now on.

Blogs, Articles and Other

I just came across a very well-written article summarizing the Men's event from this year's Japanese Nationals:

Hanyu wins fourth straight Japanese championship
Olympic champion comes back down to earth with 'human' performances

I found an interesting interview with Yuzuru (translated in English)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzBdFcYEgBk

video of the event of anouncement of the members of World tonight! I really love yuzu and shoma shot!
